Harsh but fair. When Dunc said he was lowering his bike by an inch I must admit to thinking that it gets lowered by much more than that just by him sitting on it! So it wasn't a Hyathong

I was in Scarborough a few weeks ago for the Barry Sheene Memorial at Olivers Mount and thought it would be a great place to stop for a photo session on the C2C-2. Maybe even a lap of the track

Hi Ian. Do you have a route or planned stops for brews etc? I will try to meet up if I know where you are going. Cheers There will certainly be a stop at Kirkby stephen, Reeth, if only to celebrate Robert's bike making it there in one piece, and Leyburn and possibly another stop at Helmsley Come to think of it, if it's anything like last year, then the first stop will be about a mile out of Whitehaven.

Hope you have a great adventure again this year. Weather not looking brilliant but can't have everything. Looks like we're expecting 50mph winds with accompanied horizontal rain up here, might curtail my planned jaunt North a tad, I might even have to B&B it in Gale force winds.

Scratch heading North - head South & wave us off . Your boys still coming out to play? Boys are escorting me North. Though Allan's rectifier has just popped, hopefully get a replacement here by Thursday.
Suzuki had one in stock at an eye popping £170 told them I wanted a regulator not a whole bike. settled for a much more sensible price elsewhere, though not as cheap as I could have got one from ebay. Might need a battery now too.

Weather for us going North looks to be better than earlier forecasts, though still wet. Regulator fitted and working to Allan's bike, Dave recovered from whatever ailed him. Bike getting packed this afternoon for a jaunt North. I hope the weather Gods are kind to the C to C runsters and you have another fantastic adventure. I know we will. Take lots of photos, I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

Weather, at least to the west, looking pretty good . Van is all loaded up, extra bedding this time & a pillow 'cos last year I said never again to camping! Taking a spare helmet too, which I'm bedding in so taking my old one too in case it crushes my brain too much. Plenty of kit to ensure my relative comfort . Which brings me to an awkward conversation I'll need to have in the morning: I am swinging by Mac & Deb's on the way. They are going to travel up with me. But alas I don't think there's any room in the back for Mac's steed anymore . He's a good lad - he won't mind following behind .

I was referring to the "FS1E's are much faster than AP50's" thread which was where the C2C first was discussed. Ah, we are developing, by 2025, we will be running Honda cb1200n's, Honda S900's and Kamakazi KE1100's

My support driver doesn't partake in Alcohol so I might keep my booking in civilisation. I should manage a 15 minute drive before I need to go to the Loo. Current plan has 3 Bev's coming down, 2 bikes and riders and a van driver. Is any hardy soul camping ? Saw a nice'ish AP50 at an Auction on Saturday, I would have bid but it rapidly reached £2500 You could buy a real bike for that. Royal Enfield Bullet went for £700. I would have bid but the lads had my hands tied to the chair to avoid mishaps. (like Yvonne kicking the crap out of me when I got home )
