Decided to have a look for the reason why the Honda CB100n was smoking, So it needs a rebore and new piston, This will do, And a piston to Match, , Unfortunately I broke the oil control ring, so it will be back together next week! Interesting photo. I've read you can get them to 145cc by popping in a CB750 piston and new/relined barrel.

No there's the meat left on as per the photo, you have to open the cases out a bit, as the 125 model has a larger hole that the barrel fits in, and modify the head to lower compression

Well the new c to c steed has made its way home. You can also add Davy to the runsters list, he's riding the GP.

And does it run well? It is very tidy apart from the front mudguard which I'll probably change. Not had a chance to ride it yet, Yvonne had me booked for Easter and I need to insure it and check it over. I picked it up just outside Preston, 500 mile round trip, reasonable Ebay purchase though it did go for £7 short of my maximum bid.

.... I picked it up just outside Preston Nice. Should go well enough with that 125 head and carb . It should but it might not be keeping that head and carb. In fact it might not even keep that engine. You weren't bidding were you ? We know how difficult you find it to top up the 2 stroke.

How much for the engine? Engine isn't for sale. I haven't really decided what to do with it yet. I thought I'd hang onto it, Liam is 17 in a couple of years I might pop it back in for him. I've not had the replacement running yet either.

As my restricted Aprilia had another fit of the sulks I can't get the incentive to get everything out of the shed to get the full fat 33+ horse one out and road going neither the 70 cc road able pit bike or indeed venerable C90 done up for the road. I am looking at a couple of Sachs Mad Arse, one a 50 with a 70 kit t'other a 125 pit bike engined one which won't be eligable(technically as to not being owned prior to January shame as I would chance riding it to Cockermouth. Whatever I have booked a bungalow type b&b in March Cambs this weekend as I am due to collect from Peterborough,my second Aprilia Maxi Scooter the older rebodied Piaggio X9 500 Atlantic type, the Gold wing of the scooter world with easier on the eye looks than the dumpy X9, and up till the Gilera 800/ Aprilia 850s the biggest baddest scoot in the Italian conglomorat's stables after Aprilia was brought out by Moto Guzzi Piaggio. my first and what born me back to bikes again ,in the naughties, after a decade layoff, was the later Modular Sprint version with the same Commander based engine, and of course variable rate centrifugal crutch rubber band stator twist and go go,for lazy b,s like me. The Madass with the pitbullbike engine is in Leeds and weather permitting one or other or both will get a blow out over the Noth York Moors( unless one goes for the one in Nineaton wid de 70 job which will be eligable for the toddler run.

Most certainly not, (1)I plan to run a machine fully compliant with the rules (1)Though at scrutineering on the Friday night I plan on drinking beer and eating barbeque!

The original challenge was for mopeds only so as far as I'm concerned anything over 50cc is cheating and I win on moral grounds (even if I don't actually complete....................again)
