Looking on Booking.com hotel rooms were extremely scarce in Whitby and selling out fast in Scarborough so, following a chat with IBS, I've booked a room in a hotel in Scarborough for the Saturday night for Debs & I. As a precaution I also booked 2 twin rooms. They are £70 per room inc breakfast. Any non-campers please let me know asap if you want one.

Got one in the shed if rediculousl money is involved, it's worth a punt, anyone? Anything over £100 for a C90 is ridiculous money in my opinion.

Yes old ones used to be the bangers of the two wheeled market. I have had mine so long now, I don't think I would willingly want to part with it, and yes people do advertise them OTT, but lesser old toot have even more stupid asking prices. I still haven't unrestricted my latest Red Rose Rotax 125 Ape, but at least it will just about Rev past 8000, because what one loses in grunt, is offset by really good tractability, no it doesnt ride like a Harley tractor either, quite the opposite. Also she qualifies "legally"for the pre Jan 125 concession, that said if I can do it this year,I am still tempted to refurbish the c70+ road legal pit bike, or maybe bring em both on a trailer. Now I've been supercharged with a power pack, my weights stayed down so far, Christmas and Birthday binges nothwithstanding(no longer have to sing whenI'm 64)and my diabetic revue indicated I am now right down to the lowerst green sector, I do hope to do more than 2 car shows and a handful of runs to Great Bentleys Bike gatherings in 2006.

I have also booked a room in the Travelodge for myself and Jr.
Bring it on. Though with him on the GP I don't have a bike at the moment. The C50 better come together soon, converting to 12 volt. need new forks for it.
He claims he'll get down to his old fighting weight to increase his chances of getting there without breakdowns. Aye right then.

You ought to get a better camera. The one you are using makes items on one side seem larger than on the other!

Of course if owning the bike but not the engine is in the rules I will investigate shoehorning a 250 into the wee Honda.

I wasn't aware that replacing a barrel and piston makes it a whole new bike! anyhow I won't be riding it, just like I didn't ride it last year, I have something else, that is most definitely within the rules ! but my plan was to possibly borrow a van to follow us there and back, and maybe have a couple of spare bikes in the back, so the Puch is a possibility at least for part of the run, have you fixed the C50 yet?

In a word No, still tossing about with Wullie's N. Every screw you try to remove is fecked, who said Yamaha had decent build quality. I could have built a new one in this time. Currently trying to remove one of the rear brake cylinder screws which someone has kindly rounded the allen key slot on. reminder to Wullie, or his last mechanic, Allen keys are Allen keys and Torx are Torx (or whatever he used )
Honestly every 20 minute job on that bike has taken 3 days.
Attending a Bike autojumble in a couple of weeks, hoping to pick up a few bits for the C50 (or whatever it turns out ) there.

I know the feeling, I am trying to get the CB100n sorted, so I can get onto the Suzuki A100, that I bought to do last years run!

Usual rules 100cc or less, or a 125 or something bigger How long before a D9 qualifies ?

Ha Bantam Babes(not in the current Babe idiom tho) we used to call em that in the day. Great first bike back then ay 16. When 16 er go peds were all the rage, my first road bike was a Suzuki Wolf. It had a 125 twin two stroke engine with posiforce lubrication a five spoeed box and it looked the same size as your average Fizzy or Honda SS50. The Wolf was the home market version(only six in the UK apparantly, but the export model was The Stinger. This one is exactly the same as my Wolf, colour, chrome pipes, (which are incorrect for a Stinger) and mine had more trail type bars, but that detail didnt stop the Dealer asking £6995 for it fully restored(they have a disc brake MV Augusta America for £100,000 right now. The one I am bidding on and maybe jumping the gun currently, is a tad more raggerdy but has been laid up since 1979, and I have for better or worse bid as much for it that I would have accepted for my Aprilia Futura.
