Ha Bantam Babes(not in the current Babe idiom tho) we used to call em that in the day. Great first bike back then ay 16. When 16 er go peds were all the rage, my first road bike was a Suzuki Wolf. It had a 125 twin two stroke engine with posiforce lubrication a five spoeed box and it looked the same size as your average Fizzy or Honda SS50. The Wolf was the home market version(only six in the UK apparantly, but the export model was The Stinger. This one is exactly the same as my Wolf, colour, chrome pipes, (which are incorrect for a Stinger) and mine had more trail type bars, but that detail didnt stop the Dealer asking £6995 for it fully restored(they have a disc brake MV Augusta America for £100,000 right now. The one I am bidding on and maybe jumping the gun currently, is a tad more raggerdy but has been laid up since 1979, and I have for better or worse bid as much for it that I would have accepted for my Aprilia Futura. That looks interesting!

Stingers usually were sold in more lurid colours Sublime and gawdy gold but this is the nearest I can get to reliving my past. Not that that is possible but maybe why so many gather around old Rice Burners. Well this is the one I'm after which has only done 2086 miles

No takers on the spare rooms at the b&b yet. I'll give it another couple of weeks then cancel if no interest.

No takers on the spare rooms at the b&b yet. I'll give it another couple of weeks then cancel if no interest. It's not the easiest place to book somewhere. I booked the Travelodge for myself and Jr. Premier Inn was full and several B&B I tried had no vacancies.
If anyone is hanging off with the thought you can make up your mind at the time you could miss out on accommodation.
A few nice little bike photos I hope a few turn up. My quest for a backup appears to have stalled, seems everyone thinks they have a 'classic' in their shed because it's old.
Autojumble this weekend, hopefully get some bits for the C50 ish.

Well the Autojumble trip was fruitful. I managed to get a swingarm, chain guard and rear shocks for the C50 ish all for the princely sum of £15. Just got to get my hands on a decent set of forks now.

I cant help you there as my ones are off a CB125, but some hopefull yokally, is asking (or the bidding is up to)£430 last time I aspied it, for a right manky old c90, which looks ready for the crusher, funny thing this Classic- Collectable- Barnfind rollocks.
On reflection I am glad the bidding on that Stinger didnt stop at the £1840 I was high bidder on, although some friends from 'Lawford Dale' Manningtree days have moved to Great Yarmouth and maybe I could have combined a collection and visit, I am relieved as the weather is iffy not to be going up to Norwwich with a trailer(like I did last year for a bike to a village in the middle of nowhere, just to feed some nostalgia, or obsessive bike buying..
Well done for the swinging arm, stuff I have found and sold in Autojumbles, maybe we'll meet on a run yet. I hope also to visit the Bike Museum in North Walsham and see my now Yarmouth friends via bike too, in what passes in this country as Spring, Summer, and Autumn.

No takers on the spare rooms at the b&b yet. I'll give it another couple of weeks then cancel if no interest. I've cancelled this booking and rebooked at the Mayfield Seamer to be closer to the campsite that the hardier runsters are stopping at.

My support driver doesn't partake in Alcohol so I might keep my booking in civilisation. I should manage a 15 minute drive before I need to go to the Loo. Current plan has 3 Bev's coming down, 2 bikes and riders and a van driver. Is any hardy soul camping ? Saw a nice'ish AP50 at an Auction on Saturday, I would have bid but it rapidly reached £2500 You could buy a real bike for that. Royal Enfield Bullet went for £700. I would have bid but the lads had my hands tied to the chair to avoid mishaps. (like Yvonne kicking the crap out of me when I got home )

Well the first one looks a cracker, pity the forks are bent, mine are not bent just not springy.
With the second one I hope you're not trying to entice me to buy something over the stated cc in an attempt to get me to buy the beers as a forfeit.

Could be a problem, he's Scottish so he'll think he's 'down South' meanwhile the English blokes will think they are 'Up North'
The Scottish bloke will of course be correct, the English blokes will only be half right.

Looking nice . Might have to try swapsies [1] . It's been busy this weekend on the roads around here (here being great roads around the Wye Forest) quite jealous of all the bikes that the sunshine has brought out. [1] Assumes the rider is in fine fettle too, this time around !

I have other plans for my trusty steed.

In reference to Shoddy's filled underwear thread. 120mph, not quite yet. Though someone (not me) told him if he polishes the piston, opens the ports, changes the main jet and sticks a micron exhaust on, it'll be a rocket ship. He already has half the micron, the spare piston is ordered along with a gasket set. Probably blow up when he starts it. To be fair we got his first moped up to 45mph, it probably pains him to hear that was 20 years ago. . He has also started a fitness regime after realising that the stone he's put on since he rode it last year actually has an effect on the performance.
