The original challenge was for mopeds only so as far as I'm concerned anything over 50cc is cheating and I win on moral grounds (even if I don't actually complete....................again) In your dreams ..... First run: Open to vehicles of less than 100cc, though 125cc will be accepted,if you can prove you owned the vehicle before January 2015 2016 Run: I was thinking Saturday the 17th September, Usual rules 100cc or less, or a 125 if you have owned since before the 1st of January

On last year's C2C, there were some particularly hurtful remarks about the sticky-outy nature of my KE100'a rear indicators. I have thought about this relentlessly & finally this morning applied more advanced engineering techniques, to keep the indicators in their standard places. This has involved the use of a totally different rack, & yes, it's possible that from behind the indicators may now be obscured by luggage, but in the universally recognised traditions of style over function, I'm content with that. Mr Plod, should he be less content, will have to catch me first . I do have a question though. This set-up uses less cable-ties. Is there an optimum number I should be aiming for, to guarantee happiness ?

Having had a couple of issues on last years steeds I've taken a leaf out of Martin's book and acquired a "reasonably priced" KE100 for this years event. However having purchased said eBay item it would appear the price has reflected the quality and the gaitors were not fitted to protect the chrome but rather to hide the pitting! Have sent the forks away to be rechromed but advised that turnaround is 8 weeks which is cutting it fine! Work on the RG50 Gamma restoration has been accelerated to give a backup plan

You waiting until the 'donor bike' arrives in Cumbria ? I think even he'd notice if his forks dropped off.

Booked into a farm B&B in Seamer Scarborough. Cheaper than Travelodge in Scarborough.
It isn't a big place our B&B is just up the road from the Mayfield.

I've decided to camp again this year. This is because: 1. I've forgotten how uncomfortable & cold I got last year. 2. I love the additional weight of camping gear as it helps me keep my speed down .

Your memory is worse than you thought as your camping gear was in the back of the Transit van Debs was driving. On an entirely unrelated subject: 1: Are you planning on going away and testing the camping gear for a few days but leaving your KE100 at your house? 2: What are the current condition of the forks on said KE100?

I will be away for a week soon. 2. Affixed to a KE100. Sweet of you to enquire .

Have booked Friday night @allenby Maryport, however don't fancy camping it ,as us softie southerners are camp anyway, plus my restricted Ape Red Rose will have its work cutout with 18.5 stone aboard so very many tunes will be played on its six speed box without the encumbrance of folded tent and all. I therefore favour somewhere comfortable for the Saturday, sorry Bevs, probably at Scarbro's Travelodge, (and not lose my prepayment for room and morning nosh, as with the Potteries run my knee leg simply wasn't up to) The place I stayed in,overlooking Robin Hoods Bay when collecting the Harrier Dinghy (that I have since sold on,covering my costs etc), Apparantly it is September that is their busiest time. Because the disgustingly fit and probably criminally insane walk from Cumbria to there. Oh well each to their own. I figure cyclists ( trick ones) also do it , as a couple of weeks back I heard someone near our table on an evening out, mentioning Robin Hoods Bay and said something about a sore butt but is going despite, unless by some rediculous coincidence he is doing the Tiddler run too. Notwithstanding I will be doing the run in both directions, however is there anywhere to leave the car whilst participating? Not in the surf bar is it?

You need to exercise better bargain hunting skills. I got several 2 stroke bottles for 50p each in Tesco, they were selling them off.
