Just had mine delivered and installed TomTom V7 on it and alls tickerty boo, now to get a bigger card of 8gig or more for my music. New unit is about the same size as the old looking from the front but from the side you can tell it`s about half as thick as the Mk1 version. On the right side from top to bottom. External Satnav receiver port. USB/charger port yes the USB is now the only charging point. Card slot Head phone socket On the Top left corner is the on/ff button On the back off the unit in the left bottom corner is the pen and a tiny reset switch. As with the previous Unit it comes with TurboDog 5 and 7 digit postcode search. Will play MP3s. New for Mk2 version is that it show Photos, Ebooks and plays Mpeg 4 videos. As with the Mk1 version the Mk2 is a Nice bit of kit for Cheap as Chips prices. Apart from the cheap and very nasty AnyCard 1 gb SD card that comes with it. Warning you cannot take the card with TomTom v6 installed out of your Mk1 version and put it in the new Mk2 version as that version of TomTom wont run.

.. now to get a bigger card of 8gig or more for my music. You'll have to let us know if that works - I believe the old Navigo wouldn't read the newer-fangled hi-density cards . New for Mk2 version is that it show Photos, Ebooks and plays Mpeg 4 videos. My old one did that . ............... got an old one to sell then ?

Just posting this in case anybody else is suffering with a wonky do dah. (Navigo V1) My charger stopped working, on/off button became loose. I ended up returning the lot to ebuyer and had to wait for them to check it out. I have just been informed the unit was faulty and they will refund / replace / credit me. hth Keith

Anyone know where to get a replacement cradle for the Navigo v1? And also a ciggy lighter charger? (Power jack or USB version, doesn't matter. Just needs to be powered from the ciggy lighter socket).

Well did you try eBuyer for the cradle or not? To be honest Keith, not surprised about the on-off button it does seem a little flimsy, I've wondered how long it's gonna last on mine. But then again it is made in China

I can now confirm the Navigo V2 will use a 6gig Panasonic SDHC card, wanted a bigger one but when it`s free ya can`t complain.
Oh and I have also found out how to nlock it to a PDA it`s Easy peasy. Now to find out what wil run on it.

Navigo v2 will also play music while you have the screen set to the maps. I could not do that on the v1. Only downside is that the TT7 voice is not audible over the music. The charging circuit is a lot better with the car usb charger plugged in. IMHO Still a great improvment over the v1.

The new ones have an FM Transmitter built in? I use an FM radio on the bike (yeah, i'm a sad radio ham).
-Could someone who has a new one please post what frequencies it transmits at?
Thanks

The Radio frequency is from 76.0mhz to 108.0mhz in increments of .10 hope this answers your question.

The Radio frequency is from 76.0mhz to 108.0mhz in increments of .10 hope this answers your question. Answers it perfectly. I use a Yaesu FT-60 on the bike for comms, and it will receive 108.0 as its lowest frequency -thinking of using this with the GPS instead of headphones. *should* work :-D

Used 3 of the V2`s now for one reason or another and have to report that as stated you can install TomTom V7 on these units however the processor isn`t up to it.
You can out run the Mapping directs quite easily, most of the time your position on the road is in front of that on the map and so you can miss turnings as you receive the Turn left/right instruction after you have passed the turning.
TomTom V6 works perfect but the maps are getting to old in and round towns and especially Cities.
Car mount was broken in the box but Ebuyer replaced it within days.
Great unit for the price though.

On the V1 I found having too many POIs loaded caused slow screen updates.
