MioMaps are nicely presented, I agree - I have them too on a separate SD card - but using TTv6 and Tyre works brilliantly for what I need on the bike.
And like Fi says.......Ozzie is a fine companion to any journey.....you look forward to being told to change direction when he's on board.

Erm should have gone to Spec Savers Martin it`s £69.99inc vat ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D To be honest I don`t think they can make there mind up what price it is as I have seen it go up then down then back up again all in the same day. Have done the hack on mine and it`s now a Windows CE and can run one and all Satnav software from one card and it dosnt reset to its shipping state if the reset button is pressed.

Martin I got the same link and from the eamaill it said the lower price but if you copy and paste it then se it the price changes. honestly - when I reposted the link last week it was lower. In fact it was quite funny because the advert declared £5 off, which was the same £5 they had just added on (minus 1 penny) a couple of days before. It's the same link - so as they adjust the price you can't see how it was beforehand. Maybe you got the email & didn't check it for a couple of days??

Just got mine delivered, not tried out on road yet.
One thing that might be of use, the charger from Motorola Sliver phones , charger model SPN5190A, works perfectly for charging these.
It's a standard mini usb connection with DC5V.
Hope that helps

That made me think - I went and looked at my Bluetooth headset charger ... it has the same connector and is 5Vdc 250mA.

Hey guys at the moment Morrisons the supermarket have 2gig SD cards at £7.49 each great for the extra space needed if you want to put the Western Europe or Frence or Spain TomTom map on.
Also the charger gor a XDA Orbit phone works.

I've got one of those too. Works fine. When at my PC I also use the USB lead from my Creative MP3 player.

The guys at work have all ordered and got the Satnavs now but one was faulty, it kept saying no maps found no matter what we did.
So we phones up to get it replaced and guess what the guy on the other end informed us.
Well that TomTom works on it and is far better than the original software, we had to chuckle because we are all using that.
Oh and buy the way Map version GB_plus_major_roads_of_WE v675.1409 works ok and is about as uptodate as there is.
Also Western_and_Central_Europe v675.1409 works but as it is 967meg you will need as stated bellow a 2 gig card.

Indeed, v675.1409 works fine. Need a 2GB SD card though (if you use the Western_and_Central_Europe 675.1409 maps).

Just a quick query: if I got one of these marvels and wanted to upgrade it to maps of Western Europe etc, what do I do? Buy the tom-tom software and then perform some sort of hack? Could someone explain the process for me? Please! ;D I'd love a sat nav for an up coming Euro-bimble but can't justify £350 for the TT Rider. yours as a sat-nav virgin Ben

When on the bike I put mine in the map pocket of my tank bag. The v675.1409 western and central europe maps come to about 1.6GB so you'll need a 2GB+ SD card. Edit: PM sent. Edited by(Reaper) PM sent to explain.

Fuego,
Thanks for the quick response and your help!
I've taken the plunge and ordered one (£59.99!), looking forward to trying it out.
I've got a tankbag with map window so it should be OK in that.
To be honest, the only reason I wanted a Satnav was for the bike. I don't tend to go anywhere in the car that I don't know, but on the bike I love exploring so it makes a lot more sense.
I'll let you know how I get on!
