There's just an outside chance that I might show up unexpectedly ! It all depends on a plan coming together (risky) so don't hold your breath or wait for me Sadly the plan didn't fall into place so I now won't be attending after all - bu**er

Is Jim (Covertcodger) back with us?
He withdrew on July 27 (reply 100), and I haven't noticed him re-join.

Been to the Doc's today and it looks like any stress i put on my back/neck at the moment could delay my recovery by months. Haven't been out on the bike other than my 30min ride to Barry Island and back and I paid for that over the following days! I'm so sorry to pull out and I am gutted not to be able to make it. Hope you all have a great time and i look forward to the photos. Hopefully they'll be another meet-up in the near future I can make. Andy

I am 60 but I haven't got to the stage of incontinence pads yet. I think I might wear a bin liner under my kit so you'll know me when I turn up. I'll be the one with the rustle in my step ;D

The Welsh Ride Out, met at Abergavenny with traditional weather of Gods country, RAIN, RAIN & more RAIN. We then set off for Bronllys where we met Ribbit, who then lead the group (they are his local roads), many thanks for your help and lead on this ride Chris. Our route was through Llyswen and onto Crossgates, for our breakfast fuel and general chit chat and group photo. Unfortunately, Contourmac and minimac, could not continue with the ride as a member of their family became ill and they had to leave. All freshened up and bellies full, we headed to Elan Valley, the ride around the dams was met with a vintage tractor rally and the rain decided to keep away from us (yippee). Next was onto Epynt Mountain range where the views were admired by all, even if the couple in the mini, thought otherwise, when 10 hairy a**ed geezers on bikes turn up. Legs stretched, we set for Brecon, where the ride out split and just the Sir M40man, Billywhiz and I made our way back to Abergavenny. Cup of tea later, and the day was down. Many thanks to all who turned up, I hope you enjoyed the ride, perhaps we can do it again sometime :-) Biblebasher, thanks for you help in riding tail end charlie.

home after a rather interesting day out, some rain, some heavy rain and a bit of sun, some roads with streams, round the corner, roads dry,...go figure... many thanks valleyboy, ribbit and biblebasher for run leading and back marking. some good roads, the elan valley is spectacular. ;D Thanks M40man for the company there and back..sounds like I didn't get so wet as you did after we split. but that standing water on the A40 was interesting too..

A good day out indeed - despite the weather doing it's worst Things I have learned today: 1. My 'waterproof' video camera.......................isn't 2. My waterproof jacket.........................is ;D (bone dry underneath it) I've uploaded a link to some pics in the 'Touring Tales' section, video to follow (what little there is of it). I'd like to add my thanks to Steve for organising the day, and to everyone who came along. The Elan Valley is stunning even on a day like today, but I wish you'd seen it on a sunny day instead. Maybe next year......

What a divi day out!! In the tradition of the Generation Game; good company, a row of divi's, some rain, some sunshine, a puddle, a cuddly toy, some more rain, another puddle, a petrol station, some lunch, a reservoir, another cuddly toy - hang on - make that a sheep, a big red tractor, a sheep, a big yellow tractor, another sheep, some more sunshine, a winding road, a brilliant view, a photo.
A bit soggy but enjoyed every minute.
Torrential rain from Brecon to Merthyr then brilliant sunshine all the way home to Caerphilly.
Thanks for the company lads!
