A girlfriend of mine had the similar (but a single carb I believe) Triumph Tiger 750. She didn't seem to mind the vibes on that .

I likes that. Is it for sale? It nearly breaks your foot when it kicks back, The vibes are fierce, you Rev it until you get double vision, no Rev counter needed, neutral is nowhere to be seen when the engine is running You can see oil mist coming out of the joint between cylinders and cases, But no it's not for sale! Would I buy one, not without electric start, but it is great to ride and the gearshift is on the correct side! It came to us a difficult starter and it wouldn't tivk over, The usual Amal blocked passages problem! Nothing worse than when your passages get blocked. You, say it nearly breaks your leg. A friend of mine had a Boneville which actually broke his leg on kick back.

finally doing something with the little suzuki! unfortunately the fork springs don't seem to be any good, so a new pair ordered, from Thailand! the engine in it is a later replacement it's not quite the same as the original and has minor differences everywhere, for instance the exhaust nut is originally 44mm and the newer one is 42mm and the engine covers are different, , I intend on fully rebuilding the original, but the original needs a new barrel, which seem a hard to find part, when I do, I will replace the main bearings and seals, and swap the motor back in! original motor,

I'd love to have that much time on my hands. George the GP goes for MOT this week, I've had it a year. C50ish will get the minor amount of welding it needs shortly too. Paint next. You won't see me for dust come the C to C. (or is that smoke )

I had to weld repair the hole that the stand spindle fits through, on the fizzy.

How many have you done in between ?
So is the A100 your steed this year or is it the red herring ?

CT90, I'm harbouring thoughts of making the C50ish something like that. Easier to get a set of forks to fit.

Bit of company for Debs in the van? Nope - hoping to get MrsM40Man back on two wheels. She has a full bike license & I've nearly persuaded her to have a go on the KE100. (Got an insurance quote for us both on it - cheaper than a quote for me alone, which left me feeling rather proud of my implied street cred as a boy racer young buck ).

Spent a bit of time on the Honda CT90, Fitted the new throttle assembly and cable, it was from a pit bike, but with a bit of fiddling I managed to get it to work ok, The horn wouldn't work, and the replacement new one failed to work as well, so I gave the original non working one the benefit of my anger, which it promptly started working again Fitted a new battery, unfortunately there was a unusual draw on the battery and it was soon flat, i noticed a small spark on connecting the battery, even when the ignition switch was off, I suspected the rectifier, so I cut the cable that attaches to the battery positive terminal, Then I put a half gallon of petrol into the tank, and it was time to have ago starting it, After several attempts to get it running, including making sure there was a spark, I tried brake cleaner into the carb, but still no go, So as I had fully rebuilt the engine, I went through the process of getting the engine to TDC, by putting my thumb over the plug hole, turning the crankshaft over until I could feel compression, then turn it until the F alignes with the marker on the flywheel, the position of the cam that operates the points looks wrong, the timing is 180 degrees out, so off with the points, and the cam and refit the cam, guess the timing by eye, 3 kicks and she is running, and she runs well, I had assumed that the lights were run directly off a coil, because there is no on off light switch, but they didn't work when the engine was running, so a little jumper in the headlight wiring and the lights work off the key, I removed the rectifier, and had a check with a multimeter, which turned out to be faulty as expected, A replacement is on order, I decided to order a rectifier for a British bike, for a staggering £2.50 delivered, the Honda ones are £40, if you can find them, and even aftermarket are £25

Quite like that. Always wondered why they need the engine bar when a C90 doesn't.
