Best introduce myself before I start spamming the board eh? I'm Chris in Sheffield, got a '99 XJ600n as a first bike after passing DAS in January. It's currently undergoing a makeover to hone my mechanics skills and give my pal a break from overhauling his bandit. Pics coming soon. Cheers all. Chris welcome mate

Hi everyone, my name is Antony, I'm from Athens-Greece, 35 years old and I'm really glad to be here, as I just bought a Diversion 900, after I sold my diversion 400cc. Its good to be here and I look forward to meet people with same love for this great motorcycle!

Welcome Antony to the best club on the net. Most of us (53 bikes)have been away this weekend on a run so excuse the slow reply. If you should need any advice, or have any to give, feel free to join in on any of the boards. Remember- If you're wearing shorts park it in the shade! Mac

Welcome to the YDC Antony
Friendly bunch on here. Its a great Forum. Lots of Runs and Meets to attend, though you would have a problem from Athens!
I piloted a Suzuki Bandit through Athens traffic in 2001. Terrifying! Not something I would do again.
Again, welcome to the site.

Good afternoon to you all, thanks for the feedback. Really glad to meet you, and I believe that with a good planning maybe I can find the way to travel and participate to one of your runs! (probably my fiance will kill me but that's another matter!).
Even if Athens looks like an oven these days and Greek temperament is kinda "Mediterranean", the rest of the country is very friendly, drivers outside the city are less crazy, and the beaches, sea & sunare just perfect!. So if even in a small corner in your mind there is a plan for a long run, I would be extremely happy to help you, welcome you and show you around.
Because of my Greek way of thinking while writing, you may sometimes have to excuse the way I use English language. Thanks and talk to you soon !

Hi all, just joined today so still looking round the site. Picked up a mint '94 XJ900F yesterday to do some proper miles on, and ride when my significant other is broken. (see piccy ) Gotta say already that I like this bike a lot, much better than I imagined (or heard). It's no rocket ship but the engine pulls like a train and it's lovely in long fast sweepers. ;D (Dead comfy too.) Early days and the bikes in fantastic nick, but I'm sure I'll be back with questions.

Welcome Bump, (interesting sign on name, hope you don't live up to it ). Sounds like you got yourself a nice bike there. Plenty of experience on here and plenty of advice too, some may be tongue in cheek, so be aware . Enjoy your new purchase. Regards Trev

Another new joiner.
Have come over from the Bikers Oracle site - which seems a bit quieter than here.
Only had my Divy for about two weeks now (not even got the V5 back yet). Mine is a Silver 2003 900 with not many miles on the clock. Has fairing lowers and full givi luggage. Looks nice, but I think I'll have to make some modifications to it to suit me better.
Not really used to riding this kind of bike, as my last one was a Transalp 600 and before that a Dominator 650. Comparatively, the brakes on this are fantastic, the pickup and high speed cruising are great and it's a hell of a lot easier to get your toes on the ground - as I found out on my second days riding..
Anyway, based in Newcastle upon Tyne and still getting used to the weight of the bike..

Ay up Grimster,
Welcome aboard, it's a bit more lively over here - though I'll still keep tabs on the oracle. Pays not to have all your eggs in one top box as they say...

Can I introduce myself too. I'm an expat Brit woman living in Holland. I own a 2003 silver 900 Diversion (owned from new), and she has 15,000kms on the clock. Its my absolute favourite bike (got four others - not Diversions though). It ticks all my boxes, it's a fantastic touring bike, is comfy and fast (well enough for me anyway). But of course all you guys know all this already - preaching to the converted. I love it to bits. Just joined the forum today so still looking around. Thanks for your attention - You may continue .....

I know the feeling, was riding a yamaha (for some reason always yamaha, don't know why), well, a yamaha XT 550 (loved that too) for 9 years, since 1999. Had a break for 8 years. Feels great to be back, doesn't it? Welcome Meg, agree about the quality of Div 9, it's always a little bit more from "enough" !
