I havent ridden for over 15 yrs so I asked my pop to collect my bike I itend to go on a "refreshers" course so as to build up my confidence and so that I wont be any danger to any one else! Hi Ian,
Best way to get your confidence back is to ride, ride and then ride some more. Take it really easy at first, when the power rangers on their R1's etc come up from behind, simply pull to the left and wave them past. After a few thousand miles you should feel confident with your bike and feel that you have never been away. The last thing you want to do is get involved in a ride with others at the early stage and feel that you need to keep up, ride at a pace you feel comfortable with and most of all, enjoy!
Keep safe!
Regards Clive.

Hiya, am new - another John 23 & live in Surrey, currently get to sit on/stroke this from time to time but unfortunately not ride it: Unable to ride it at the mo to, erm...poor financial management? (uni + expensive bike + crash = a shiny overgrown paperweight, could afford to repair it & service it but not insure it after losing me no claims, lol) Stumbled across site whilst looking for a much cheaper to ride/insure runaround for work and the like - great to see such a passionate following for the bikes, loads of info too (and a fair few laughs!), top site Hoping to pick one up sometime soon, been quoted £1600 for insuring the vfr or £150 for a divvie 600 - no contest really is there? Anyways, see you folks around maybe (from now on will have that 'who is it' thing going on with any diversion I see no doubt!)

After a bit of Lurking, I figured I should probably get myself an account Name David Location Aberdeen, Scotland (Yeah I know I missed the Scotland Run ) Bike '95 Divvy 600S Occupation Systems Engineer (IT Bloke) I began riding 7 years ago but work forced me back to car driving; so I've had an absence of close to 5 years. I never got round to taking my test at the time. I've owned my Divvy since early April but I only passed my Direct Access two weeks ago. Really loving being back on the Bike; the Divvy is great and I'm looking forwards to lots more riding. No mechanic skills (much to my chagrin) so I'll probably end up posting stupid questions asking for advice Just got to be glad the Divvy came with the Hayes Manual

A lot of newbie's who join us on here have no mechanical skills. Do'nt worry about it. You will find all the help you need on here. It's enough that you are a biker, and especially so that you ride a Diversion! You get stuck on anything then post a question. Someone will always help. Keep it upright Covertcodger

Hi, my name is David. I use to ride Yamaha RXZ before buying a new bike, Yamaha YBR 125 for work purpose. www.xs4all.nl/~kimkodde/yam090n.htmlFrom the above link, I found out that YBR125 + Diversion fairing = Yamaha Diversion 125. I hope to buy the Diversion fairing & join the Diversion Family as Yamaha Diversion 125. May I know where can I get the Diversion fairing & how much does it cost?

David Complete surprise to me! A Divi 125! I would imagine that the obvious place to look for a Divi fairing for your 125 would be a Main Yamaha Dealer. That would be the my first call. I did notice on your link that the bike originates from Belgium, so you may get a blank from a UK dealer. Leaves you the option of emailing the Yamaha Importers and make some enquiries there. Not much help am I!

As far as I know the Divvy 125 is not currently a UK bike and you can only buy the naked YBR here. Like Covert said you'll probably have to go through a Yam dealer, but there may be more to it than just a fairing and will cost a packet.
Welcome to the club though. Regardless of whether you convert it to a Diversion or not, you'll still be welcome.

Hi, I'm Geoff from near Leeds and I have recently become the proud owner of an 2002 Divvy 900. I also ride a classic CX500 Like Trev says, there are a few CX owners on here. Mine's a US Custom, currently in pieces as I'm getting the frame, swingarm and stands blasted and coated. I love it, great bike. Please ignore Pebbles' views on said bikes

Leave it as standard you will get more money when you come sell it later on. Also, do you have a full licence?

Best introduce myself before I start spamming the board eh?
I'm Chris in Sheffield, got a '99 XJ600n as a first bike after passing DAS in January. It's currently undergoing a makeover to hone my mechanics skills and give my pal a break from overhauling his bandit.
Pics coming soon.
Cheers all.
