Hi. That is a tidy looking bike. I am sure someone will answer your question soon. Do you know how many owners the bike has had? Also your location would be helpful. Atb

Hi
Thought I'd sign up, names Jim, live in Helensburgh on the west coast of Scotland (I'm about a 40 minute drive north of Glasgow).
Current bike is a 1999 XJ600N. Bought it 3 years ago, with 9k miles on the clock and 7 years of SORN paperwork. Slowly working my way over it, this winter its had wheels and swingarm powdercoat, brakes overhauled with braided lines, and new tyres. In the process of rebuilding the brakes and should get it MOTd in a couple of weeks.
Previous bikes have been an XJ600S, GSX600F, two F650 BMWs (a Funduro and a Dakar), a Triumph TT600, 600 Bandit - think thats about it!
I'm an engineer, a submariner, a tinkerer of things and drinker of rum.
Hopefully get to see some of you out on the road!

Hi Jim.
Welcome to the site. Plenty of advice on here. Super low mileage bike by the sound of it. You need to use it though cos the carbs get messed up with the modern juice. There is a weekend meet in Moffat (end of May) if you fancy it. Ok - all the best & good luck with the bike.

There is a weekend meet in Moffat (end of May) if you fancy it. Ok - all the best & good luck with the bike. Sounds good! Put about 2k on the bike but its not been used since last May. Hopefully it'll be alright, I'm quite happy taking stuff apart normally but I've never done carbs before and I'm not in any rush to start!

I am with you there. If its running ok leave em alone. If the bike gets left for a good length of time the petrol goes gooey, so better to use it. Think they trying to increase the percentage of ethanol too.

Hello all, Jules located in Catterick North Yorkshire. Just got myself a 900 Diversion today that needs a little love. My other ride is a 2002 Triumph Speed Triple 955. I got myself the Diversion to hopefully use as a bit of a tourer after recently doing the NC500 in three days on the Triple! I Rode the Diversion home tonight and it was very comfy compared to my Triumph all be it a bit more bouncy

Hi Joolz. Welcome to the site. Not had a modern Triumph so can't comment on them.
But I have had my D9 for 20 odd years and has just turned 100,000 miles and apart from the weight when pushing/parking I think they are brilliant bikes. Things to watch for are rusty centre stands and the fuel gauges are either useless or don't work - this is normal.
But you have come to the right place regarding your 900 Divvy. A lot of folk have moved on from Divvies but there are still a few around and lots of info should you need it.
What colour and year is yours? Oh and mileage. ATB

Hi all, Wanted a second bike, so have just bought a 96 900 Divvy but don't take possession for a couple of weeks. It'll be based down on the South Coast near Christchurch and be used occasionally for the odd day out, light touring etc. My other ride is a 2016 Bonneville T120. Been riding for donkey's years on all sorts of things - haven't had a 900 before, but did have a 600 Divvy for a couple of years which did sterling commuting service. Bought the 900 mainly for its reputation of bulletproof reliability and comfort - at my age I'm not interested in scratching or tear-arsing about ! Looking forward to cruising around. Cheers Chris

It is 1999 and red frame with black panels!. I have already found out the woes of the centre stand as I jacked the front up to do the fork seals and one half of it crumbled from rot in the inside

Hi, my name is Dermo. I'm from Carlow in Ireland. Bought my 900 divi 3 weeks ago 60 miles north of Manchester. And rode it to ferry and home. Needed something lighter at my age-got rid of st1100 as too heavy-8st more than divi. New bike is an absolute beauty. So many extras-higher screen, complete stainless exhaust, r1 (I think) front calipers, engine bars, led spots, bagster tank cover and bag, kappa top box and rack. And more... Have just a thousand miles up already. Looking forward to many more. And to getting help on here when needed. Biking 45 years now. Thank you.

Nice one went to Northern Ireland for the first time after an aborted rideout from Nuneaton, brilliant rented Bungalow on the Coleraine road in Porthrush, right next to the NW200 course. Stayed an extra night in Balleymoney , so very sad about William Dunlop, who hailed from there, and later had a brief chat with Michael in the IOM Manx Classic pits.
despite heavy drizzle had a great run down from Balleycastle along the Causeway Coastal route to Larne, catching the overnight Ferry back to Berkenhead later from Belfast, rough as ol Harry, not on a Divvy, with various health issues I found mine a bit too heavy, manouvering in the back garden, anyways with torrential rain virtually all the way home, had aborted going staright to Scotland and during the week ( supposedly glamping near Loch Ness,)before the Jock run with some of this lot, bought a van shoved the Gagiva 1000 in that, for a trip to Inverness, am aiming to do the Wild Atlantic Coastal route next year too.
Welcome enjoy your Diversion.
