Hi to all. Just bought a 900 to get back into biking after a few years off. Great Bike and it's great to be riding again despite the season. Just moved to Nantwich in Cheshire, which seems to be good for a night out with lots of pubs and curry houses. Not found a kebab shop yet though - probably not been drunk enough!

so now ive passed my direct access, and are totally hooked on biking can anyone tell me is it worth doing the advanced bike test? and i know this sounds a long way off and i may change my mind! (as you have to have had licence for three years) but want to become a bike instructor so will getting advanced training help towards this?

Hi Gill
It's worth posting that question on the General Board, you will get a lively bunch of mixed replies.
I certainly would recommend IAM / RoSPA training, but I would say that as I am a member of both. It's exremely good value training, and can only improve skills such as planning and observation and positioning, particularly in a new rider.
I am sure further training would help you as a professional instructor in terms of your own riding, although the methods taught at DAS, CBT level are very different.
Hope this helps
Dave ;D

Wotcha, As of today 25/11/07 I am a 600 divvi owner. Had plenty of Yamaha's in me time. I got this one from ebay for £366 mot & tax till april 08. Not bad nick and milage shows just under 10.000 miles( I will have to check if milage is correct !) Its an L reg.

Wotcha Nobby Welcome to the YDC. Great club here, especially for Div 600 owners. If that mileage is correct then you got a bargain for that price.

Hi All,
My name is Mart. Started biking again 7 years ago after a 20 year break. I started again on the divvi which I still own. It has been off the road for just over 2 years but I literally ust got it mot'd again (picking up from mot station tomorrow). Before that I was riding it in London for approx four years but I am no longer in the smoke. Done a bit of my own work on the bike (changed discs, calipers, rear suspension and arm) but never tackled anything major on the engine. It has been very very reliable and I am rather fond of it.

Welcome to the club Toby. Your Divvy looks like an early model 92-93 perhaps converted to naked and has twin disc brakes on front. Am I right? Nice one

Hi all, my name's nick and I'm based in nuneaton - the midlands (used to be in devon) I have a 1995 diversion 900s which is currently in bits for a complete overhaul and to sort a problem with jumping out of second gear , I am also a member of another diversion owners club so some of you may already know me from there I would like to wish all on this forum a very merry christmas . I am a mechanic/jack of all trades - although I've given up mechanics as an occupation now and just do it for myself and friends, hope to have many chats and discussions with you all in the future ;D
