Changed me tyre, without loosing any knuckles this time but i must invest in a tyre changer & compressor While its great havin the towbar + wing rack + comfort pillion pegs, its not so "great" for getting the back wheel out Also while faffing around tryin to get the wheel out I noticed me centre stand has cracked

Use two wood block under the centre stand and there will be enough space to get the wheel in. Or fit stainless bolts to the rear mudguard and drop that off to make space. This is my reinforced stand. Its lasted quite well but recently feels a bit wobbly so maybe its going again.

Regreased the steering head bearings so its now cornering better not running wide, feels altogether more sure footed and the 40mph steering wiggle has gone. Result! Also cleaned and copper greased the front brake pads and washed the old girl.

You can see all the iron on my bike's back end but with greased bearings its no longer wobbling at speed even with full luggage.

I cleaned the airbox and the crankcase breather pipe out and changed the airfilter when I was at it. Wow that made a difference! The throttle response is quicker now, smoother too. The engine oil has de-emulsified itself after a short ride and it doesnt leak from the airbox breather when parking up after a ride now. Happy boy I am!

Nice one Dave - looking ship shape- time for a meet/rideout on the 5th 6th or 7th??
Cleaned the red burgandy D9 and loobed it ready for 7 days and 770miles on the road this week Started up the blue D9 and looked into taking the back rack off and putting it onto the red one......just looked into it mind, as I think an angle grinder might be needed for the back bolts....

I made something similar with paraffin in the tubes and lost the lot into the engine on the first turn of the starter. Its a lot easier to use the tube to listen to the pop pop sounds in each carb bellmouth. When both sound the same the carbs are balanced. On the Diversion they are done in pairs with three sets of balance adjusters.
