No can't do the BMF now, had booked a long weekend for it and thought I could change it for the weekend before to attend IOW. IOW Date clashes with something called work. Lose out on both but have got the weekend booked off for Scottish run the week after that.
Might still change my mind and go to Peterboro though, normal crashing place is fully booked though (Sister in Laws) and don't fancy camping this year (me old bones) so looking to B&B if I go. Be a last minute decision I think.

Looking at the current sign up list I would suggest that the runs will start when all the offies and kebabulances on the IOW are closed Dave ;D

Teffort: Fancy a run down together?
If anyone decides on a caravan, I'm in for a share. If not, I'll be camping.

Reet, GM and I are looking to travel down, VERY, early on the Saturday morning and come back Sunday evening. We'll be going from Portsmouth....Ferry still to be booked. Apricot has also talked GM into staying at his so our accomodation is sorted!! Bit worried about that idea mind! If anyone is travelling down for this and needs a place to stay on the Friday night you're more than welcome to kip at ours. We can all travel down Saturday morning and meet up with the other reprobates then....well, one reprobate....Martin! Times of Ferries to be finalised but we're thinking possible 0900hrs on the Saturday and 2000hrs for the return on Sunday. Anyone else booked up?

Dame The longer red funnell trip is fine, the first 30 mins is a river cruise!! absolutely no sea sickness problems, honest!
Shorter run to the ferry though!!

Do we know where to meet on Sunday morning and any idea where everyone is eating on Sat night. Just trying to find a B&B close enough so do not have to ride after a drink on sat night.

Pompey to Fishbourne came up at £43.60 for us two and bike. Still the most expensive stretch of water to cross in the country/world ?

DBMartin - I think the original idea was to be centred around Appuldurcombe , in Wroxhall. Will find out the time/place of meeting for sunday morning. Sparky - yep, bleedin dear crossing - Me and Jools is £29 each (2 bikes, 2 alleged adults)

We're both gonna bring tents and sleeping bags but haven't actually booked a site yet. Does Ady have any recommendations? We-ell... the run starts from Ventnor seafront on sunday - there are no concrete plans for sat night, but Ady reckons Ventnor is pretty lively Appledurcombe is about 3 miles away, and was the original base for the run.Looking on t'internet it seems to be about the closest to town. I take it you'll be stepping off the ferry and waiting around for the start of the saturday bimble ? I've pm'd you both Ady's number in case you don't have it - if you want any more info... If he doesn't answer, leave a message and he'll call you back.

We are getting the 0900 from Pompey. There would appear to be a couple of decent pubs listed on the web within the required parameters above, near the Appledurcombe camp site. The site hasn't replied to my e mail or answerphone enquiry for a pitch though. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned our mode of transport ! ?

See you on the ferry, Sparky - we're on the 0900 too . Still not entirely sure what's going on on sat night - but I do know I won't be well on sunday morning We're staying at the Hobbit-hole in Ventnor... Appledurcombe were originally warned about a load of bikers (in fact is it the one the tent-lovers stayed at last year ?), so shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned our mode of transport ! ? Never a good idea and white vans also get the same treatment even though they make great caravan tugs.
