Does anyone know if there is a similar forum for the Fazer. Tried one on Sunday, and the Divvies days may be numbered!

A "smite" for mentioning the "F" word, with four letters is understandible, but to "Smite" for using the five lettered "F" word is a bit harsh. Take an exalt from me Just Browsing, to make up for Fluro Green's over zealous reaction. Fazer, CRF1000, Triumphs (Various) and Pans, we may own them, love them but have lustful feelings for other bikes, but what we all have in common is an appreciation of the XJ series. I still have mine, bought new in 1998. I'll be throwing it a 10th birthday party next year, and I have no plans to sell it, but I can still own a Trophy 1200 while retaining my appreciation for my XJ600S

Nah, the original F word is pretty disgusting but F***r is far worse. JB can take an extra smite from me! [1]
[1] Went swimming last night, the language from Crawley kids is utterly beyond the pale. I didn't dare point out that there were women around but Louise did. To be fair they cut it out after that. [2]
[2] None of them said Fa**r though so it wasn't too bad!

Man......you're too young to do it!
Unless:
a. You have a penchant for pipes / slippers b. You tuck your shirt into your trousers when going out. c. You like Plink Floyd......
In which case, you're older than your years suggest, and it may be a wise choice.

You lot obviously need reminding that 2/3 of the management plus an ex-AssMan ride Fazer 1000s. ;D Get up to date. I know and you know that these persistent attacks on Fazers and their riders are only out of jealousy and it is wearing very thin now. The Diversion's been out of production for years and they ain't gonna last forever! By the way, another good Fazer site is p072.ezboard.com/bfazer1000This one only caters for 1000s Whether you change to a Fazer or not, you will still be welcome here (well, as much as I am ). Trevor

The Diversion's been out of production for years and they ain't gonna last forever! There will still be a few Divvies on the road for years... but even if there aren't people who love and appreciate the Diversion won't die out so quickly - this site has a future. While I believe the fazer to be a good bike I think this assumption is laughable. Given the choice between a fazer and several other bikes I really don't think the fazer is top of my list. Had a test ride last year and can't really see what the fuss is about, certainly faster than a divvie but so are many other bikes, better brakes and handling but again certainly, in my opinion, not the best bike in any category, just another all good rounder from yamaha like the divvie but with the benefit of newer design.
We all enjoy life on 2 wheels, you can't seriously believe we all aspire to Fazerism.

Would it be top of my list. - Deffo no. Much further down than that. I've liked the Fazer (6 & 10) since they came out. Would it be top of my list? Nah. [1] Would it be top of my list of bikes? No, cracking bike, but the B12 is much more my cup of tea and I'd only change that for a R100GS or something else simple with a shaft. If only they'd made a naked D9. :-( [1] Elsa Pataky[2] and a bar of soap is currently top of my list, but a stately home with pool, a Sigma 33, a holiday home in the Alps and a XK120 would also rate well above a Fazer. [2] Now there's a controversial ethical issue that's easy on the eye!

Especially when you consider the price of Fazers. This takes them a long way down my list. But if you can get one cheap, then there is nothing wrong with them . I still think they are over rated though, even before cost is factored in.

Oooh thanks - that really helps. You really are the master of the backhanded compliment. I have an excellent sense of humour when I find something which is humorous. This constant sniping isn't. It may have been for the first few weeks or even months, but no longer. I agree with other posters that the Diversion is an excellent bike, otherwise I wouldn't have been helping to run this club for the last few years. Neither would I have owned one for more than 5 years. Nevertheless, when people move on to other bikes, we make sure to tell them that they are still welcome here. With the comments on here week after week, Fazer riders could be forgiven for thinking that they are not at all welcome. Look at it from their point of view. Some will no doubt say I'm overreacting, but I've about had enough if it. There comes a point when light-hearted banter ceases to be that and just gets annoying and insulting. We are all presumably happy with our own choice of bike so should be allowed to enjoy it. Why Fazer owners are particularly targeted is a mystery to me. Yes. there are undoubtedly better bikes out there, but the Fazer 1000 is a brilliant all rounder and suits me fine, as did the Diversion 600 for a long time. Each to his (or her) own. Fire away! If you were looking for a fast litre bike I'd think value wise you'd be hard pushed to do better? nicer than the luverly L? Errr. No. I bet she makes a great Piella though! we make sure to tell them that they are still welcome here. Why Fazer owners are particularly targeted is a mystery to me. You can't seriously be saying Fazer riders are unwelcome here? More than half the members own them, 66pc of the management own them! How many members are still lucky enough to own Divvies? 1/3 tops? If you think only Fazers get mockery on YDC you're not reading enough posts. The banter is endless. [1] Half hour gone. Have another Exalt. [1] Although I would have to agree when it's aimed at me it's no longer funny. Restricted B12 my a**e!

I even like that orange thing Ghoti has in his shed, and when it rains next I will pop down to see if the rain has washed enough mud off to see what make is written on the tank Shame they don't make Fazers in green then all the monsters could save up for one that matches their eyes!!
