Debs & I will be up for this. have sent emails to Weigh Inn and Ceilidh Place. Can we take it that the hotel of choice in Inverness is the Travelodge we stayed at earlier this year?

Have decided I need to try be more adventurous next year, especially with all the hardly used bikes about, and apart from regular health checks no real commitments a Scottish tour sounds just the ticket, so have pre booked in at the Weigh Inn, Friday 26th(sorry Contours)the Caledonian Hotel,Saturday 27th and for Sunday at the Inchrye.

OK it said 18 miles but ringing around Iwas told more like 39 and off the record was given the nod(verbally) the Caledonian I had originally booked was anegative, so have at huge expense changed to the Ferry Boat Ullapool.

You need to review your booking technique Gav. It can be had for £55 in Ullapool. Nobody is sharing your room so it doesn't matter how anti-social you feel.  |

I had originally booked the Caledonian but for some reason changed my tiny mind( however on a ring round was assured that was a good decision, and with no vested interest from that party making derogatory comment)
Ferry Boat Inn Ullapool has now one room left for £125. OK I am looking and booking via Booking.conm

It's one night Gav, unless the bed bugs are going to carry you outside while you're sleeping and deposit you in the harbour it doesn't really matter whether a place is a bit tired. IMO anyway.

However as I do not have one of those and am not the Cumudgeonly old fart I may have led you to believe, it may even be to my varying tastes*whatever have rebooked and may employ the non travelling Bev as my Trip Advisor?

Bev is travelling. Just not necessarily to Ullapool.
Actually I've still not decided whether to attend or not. Busy year. I may well make an appearance for part of the route. Toying with missing Friday night meeting Saturday morning and abandoning you on Sunday somewhere to scoot home. I need to save my days off for other projects. I can decide on the Friday. Inverness only a couple of hours up the road.

I am staying near Lochness from the previous Saturday, which meant missing out on another Club's Maxi Scooter run to Norfolk( used to live near Mundesley so no real big deal) and a nearby car show on the Sunday will also forego.
however casting off( famous last words ) some shackles holding me back may as well utilise some of the two wheelers sitting about, did sell one last Saturday-so hopefully we will get to meet in person at long last.

Accomodation details: I wont be able to make Inverness on the way up or back, as I need to leave/return a little earlier than planned. Thursday: Loch Earn Friday: Thurso - Weigh Inn Lodge Saturday: Ullapool - Caledonian Hotel Sunday: Ballachulish I might catch up with you all on the Friday on the way to Thurso, but if not I'll see you there. On Sunday, I'll be heading off after Applecross when you head back to Inverness Chris |
