No persuasion required, he'll never keep his hands off it until September. It's all true - this afternoon I've pumped up the tyres & adjusted the brake cables . Am thinking of fitting some ally panniers, GS-adventure-stylee, but prices so far seem to be around what the bike cost . Suggestions for frugal alternatives welcomed . Hang on - I'll be needing daytime running lights, heated grips, phone charger, power for a tyre inflater & the satnav, a clock & a compass. Plenty to do then, thanks . You could convert it to 12v! I am not convinced you can get 6v heated grips! Frugal alternative, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221319798611?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

What we need is an official photographer and video taker,
Like they do on the Tour de France!

Well I will anyway.

But we'll be going much slower. If we shoot at half speed & play back at normal speed, it'll be fine .

Try Tourareck Ok, not alloy, but waterproof......they say. So you could get 2 x matching side cases and a top box - you'll have plenty of space for stickers then.

I'm surprised he hasn't got three of those plastic storage boxes from his favourite Poundland and strapped 'em on.

Well fortunately the tour de Britain, is the week before, so no chance of that interfering with the run, that makes the rout a little more flexible!

You've had it for weeks. What about Old Trev ? Is Di going to let him out or is he still chained to the renovations ? C50 swingarm still not off, tonight is the night. I guess 48 years of rust has seized the bushes solid. Even the stuck on shock on the D9 was easier to remove than this thing.

Anyhow I will likely be last, everyone has a faster bike than me! Really ? I'm waiting to see what you actually turn up on. All these pictures of Puch Maxis etc aren't fooling me. I'm expecting to see a car park full of race tuned two strokes in September. Except for me. You'll need a support van just for transporting the spare pistons.

True, but the C50 only takes a couple of hours to rebuild after painting. just got to get that F****** swingarm off. And order new bushes of course.

Sorry Peeps, will have to bow out of this one. Now I have 60 miles to commute each day and the fen winds where slowing the 125 down to much, I have had to change her for a larger capacity machine. oh anyone want to buy a well run in 125 Sinnis Trackstar. ?

Can run attendees reconfirm that they are attending on the sign up sheet, and I can update the sheet,
rout has been tested,
we should set off from the beacon in Whitehaven at 8.00 sharp, and arrive in Scarborough around 5.00pm!

Accommodation for the Friday night has been changed to the Rose Cottage B&B just around the corner from Chez IBS so will be in a better position to monitor M40mans sherbet intake.
Has the route been finalised? My support crew is planning multiple coffee stops to break up the monotony of following the bikes so could do with the sat-nav to catch up.

The rout has been mostly sorted, There will be the rout in tyre, when Robert sorts it, or more true, when I review it, as he sent me it last week, I will post the rout on here, but will supply laminated copies for the run!
