Must be great actually owning your own! it doesnt cost much mate licence around 2000 quid and you can pick up a decent trike in permit for around 1500 . i never thought i would find anything better than bikes but i have . i still go to the hanger on my divvy 900 tho as the roads on the way are excellent ;-) best of both worlds ..

Flying RC helicopters. Not the toys but I have some up to a 1.3mtr rotor disc. Electric power (lipos) or nitro motors
More difficult to do than it looks

Caving mainly now, occasionally canoeing and until work got in the way bellringing. that caving thing sounds good if not a little enclosed . i always wanted to dive but i have perforated ear drums so cant do it :-(. did you see this ? its really worth watching and very brave indeed.. solo solitary endeavour on the southern ocean

I used to frequent several folk sessions when I lived in Coventry but alas whilst there are clubs in Cheltenham and Gloucester you have to leave early to catch the bus or go without drinking which always seems a bit odd when in a folk club.

Until recently I was heavily involved with local Amateur Dramatics society (taken a sabatical to give more time for work / biking at the moment) Although I was "Technical Director" - so responsible for set building, lighting and sound production - inevitably we 'techies' got dragged in for the crowd scenes, walk-ons and bit parts that real Thespians thought were beneath them.
I've always fancied the flying thing (had a trial flight in a fixed wing and a helicopter) - but neither funds nor time allowed me to pursue it. I also used to have an R/C helicopter but never mastered flying it before it got nicked !
Good thread BTW - it even woke Tigger up ! And I never knew Billywizz did scuba diving - go figure

Great video, in particular that moment where it lifts for the first time must be brilliant yeah its cool mate grass strips are a little bumpy sometimes but very forgiving really. once she becomes unstuck cows get small quickly. people always make the mistake of thinking they are flimsy but they are bloody strong for such light weight .you can go to 10,000 feet with out breathing apparatus and people have been around the globe in em many times now . microlights come in many forms as well not just like mine which most people know these are also microlights (microlight by weight not style) but i prefer the flexwing type for the proper pioneering experience .. and if you really have money check this icon a5

Playing music ( a few lads get together in our local every Wednesday night ) AND Dont laugh... Knitting.... Absolutely not laughing Martyin - I forgot to put on my list . . . . crochet. Nothing flash, just baby blankets, but there's something very satisfying about seeing my granddaughter (or any other baby) snuggled up in a blanket I made for her.

Patchwork and Quilting with a bit of knitting and crochet chucked in as well- Used to see a lot of raised eyebrows during "icebreakers" at work meetings when you tell them your into Motorbikes and Patchwork Try it in the pub. If anyone makes any piss taking remark I simply reply "I am making a blanket for a helpless baby, using only a ball of yarn and a small hooked stick. What can you do that's so damn clever?" If you really want some fun, this can be delivered with something of a growl, whilst moving as if you might stand up (I am a large, bearded man of a reasonably craggy appearance - which helps), the result is always a backing down by the piss taker. With younger lads, you might choose to end the question thus: "What can you do that's so damn clever - boy?".
