Have wanted to MciroLight for a long time. Dave join your local club and see how you go bud ,you can go as fast or as slow as you like with the learning curve. lessons are around 85 quid an hour which is way cheaper than when i was learning in this at 300 quid an hour ,ouch gotta say the real thing is easier than flying the model heli's

been up today and was erm bumpy to say the least Do I envy you that or what!! I love helis. RC ones or real. I did a duty shift in the local Police helicopter a while back and would go back any day...totally memorable experience... If I were younger I'd do my hours and fly helis. If only time would go backwards.

I was merely pointing out it needs a bit more preparation than pulling over on the side of the road and ringing the nearest buddy with a trailer.

It does look great fun . Agreed, but the consequences of a blocked breather or dodgy carbs are a bit more serious when you're 500 foot in the air ! its all dealt with in your training ,just before you go solo the instructors can say at any point "engine failure" and when he says that its foot off the gas instantly and you have to deal with it which is pretty tame tbh as they glide for ages and when flying you should always have in mind the donkey could stop and fly accordingly .when you get into the hobby you start looking at fields where ever you go when driving/riding around its weird lol... this is the same as my aircraft and he has an engine out ,notice how calm he is and how he reassures his passenger . you get more time to think than when you do on a bike trying to avoid a plonker pulling out on you in a tin box ...etc etc

Is it me or do the side panels look like they've been put on with a sewing machine ? Very nice though. Were you around Mkt. Rasen area with this today, there was an identical one on the A 46 ?

Good bit of stiching innit . Dunno why but every photo we take of the van it looks like that . Wasn't us on the 46 tho' it's parked at home at the minute waiting for it's next adventure

I also like Aero-modeling, swayed more to planes from the helis though. I have 3 planes and 4 helis and a tricopter. I also love fishing, and also photography.

Thread resurrection time...
Scuba diving is my latest love, qualified back in march and it's taken over my life!
Also love fishing and open canoeing, but they don't happen that often any more!
Also like looking at forums I'd forgotten I joined, and thinking I should have hung around more!
