Always wanted to start one of these threads but never took my camera with me. Today, I did. Just went around the local countryside for a quick blast with SWMBO on the back and ended up at a small beach a few kilometers from where I live. I know you have had a "mild" winter in the UK but down here we have had one as well. My 10th year here and definately the warmest - 26 degrees C in the shade today and as I type this at nearly 7.15 pm, with a slight glow of the set sun in the west, it is around 22 C. Here is the pic. ![](http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m162/solentsailor/DSCF0023.jpg) Please join in.

Yeah - I took the bike to Southend to see my grandchildren. Sunny and quite mild considering it's the first week in March.
Did'nt take a camera I'm afraid. Just as well, the views could'nt compare to the one you are showing.
But at least I'll be there in July on the bike.
Have an 'exalt' for showing me a view to make me smile!
Jim

Yep Did a run over of the Dashwood to Ace run as part of an observed ride. Some of the roads perfectly suited to FJRBob's tractor ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Weather was great but roads were wet and the sun was low. Plus it rained on the way back but managed to outrun the shower. Had chilli chips n cheese at the Ace - you have to try it ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Dave ;D

Went for a ride, too. Poole, in Dorset - to see my mechanic, Colin ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) After mucho trying myself, he sorted my rear brake in double-quick time. Photos don't really do Poole justice: ![](http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u42/m40man/BikeTakenApart001.jpg) (Colin inspecting damage to finger nail?) ![](http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u42/m40man/BikeTakenApart003.jpg) (Colin's FJR looking in a poorer state tham my Trophy ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) Coffee, toast & bickies provided by the lovely Maggie. All in all a good day. Same cannot be said for Chele, but I'll leave her to post about that if she feels she wants to. (No prangs or anything - just bike troubles!) Martin.

Hi I was going with others to helmsley and onto Scarborough but at 8.00 it was raining hard so the run was cancelled for another day. At 9.00 my wife came back after visiting a friend at their farm about 2 miles away with the bumper hanging off,she hit a stone water trough backing out luckily the trough is ok spent the next 6 hr,s taking the bumper of mending and painting it all back together now you can hardly tell it was broke. ;D

Well, Duncan, (Bev), Darren, (Scottish) and me met at the Green Welly. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Then we went home ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Mainly because Duncs bike was poorly, the weather was not as told to us on the forecast, ie 'showers' were downpours and after one soaking on the way up Loch Lomond I'd had enough. All was not lost, Glen Ogle was dry, the rain set in again passing Loch Lubnaig, coming through the Trossachs was dry again but a downpour descended 5 miles from home. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) All in all a mixed day, but I enjoyed it. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Mrs P and I went for a long ride 190 miles from Norfolk to Ellesmere Port on the ER6. It stopped rained just before we set off, so apart from spray and a couple of flooded roads chucking crud all over my bike we stayed more or less dry and saw a lot of the sun.
After we'd picked up my new bike we took it in turns to ride them both all the way back, taking a scenic route via the Cat and Fiddle and the Peak District - this took much longer and the new bike (super moto TT600) wasn't specially comfortable on such a long trip of course. Still it's great fun on the twisty bits. Cold and tired but dry - a 400 mile day.

"Wanted to, but too hot and windy: 36C today; 39 tomorrow; 40 Tuesday and Wednesday"I feel so sorry for you lol! I'd arranged with a couple of mates (they will end up back markers but don't know it yet... ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ) to do the entire Isle of Wight run proposed route but it's raining so hard down here its bouncing back off the road. No pleasure in going out in that unless we really have to, and my mates sounded very relieved on the phone when I suggested we leave it today. Disappointed Ady

Yeah, I guess I should stop feeling sorry for myself. Everyone has problems to bear. It's just that I can cope with cold, but that sort of heat, with all the gear on ... Anyway, few more weeks and we'll be into the ultimate time of the year here for motorcycling -- IMHO. Then I'll have some photos to post.
Cheers
Bruce

We went out for a run today from sheffield to sherbourne it was dry most of the way there it wasn't on the way back. My jacket and trousers are making large puddles on the kitchen floor and Shaz didn't fare much better on the back. Hope my gloves dry out for the morning. Richard

Well, today (Monday) finished up at 105°F, so Di and I only got out very early on the bike. Went down to the local marina for breakfast -- very enjoyable (it's a long weekend here). Forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday is 108°F. Now, without whinging, that IS getting a touch too warm ... Bruce

That was an awful lot of rain yesterday.
Unfortuantely even my winter trousers let in the wet. Nothing worse that a wet crotch for all the wrong reasons.

Before I started stripping the bike, I had to go out on me bike in the rain, and had a massive slidey moment.... gassed it away from the lights on a waterlogged A34....hit 8k revs and the rear span up and I ended up travelling towards the roundabout sideways....eased off a bit, straightened her up and went home to change me pants. ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png)

In a previous life had a place at Al Andalus, Playa Flamenca which is just past Lidl going west out of Torrevieja. Also looked at places near Malaga in the mountains eg Sedella I think its spelt. White knuckle bike ride area ! And up in the mountains they sort out there own problems ie anti-social behaviour etc great stuff. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Now a lot poorer thanks to solicitors
