Good price that coastaldivvy! Numbers are growing, can't be bad. 5 or 6 bikes would be ideal for a first event so get booking all you others! ;D Note to all-comers: I've worked a bit on the planned routes and will give them a thorough run down before you all come over. I've yet to fine tune details for the weekend but one thing I'll announce now: Saturday evening 23rd will be 'Eat at Pilgrims', barbecue all being well, food and drink provided! So, you're invited!

Hospitality taxi! Having invited YDC to eat at mine at least on Easter Saturday evening I'm going to try to arrange a taxi for you to get back to the hotel if you want to drink a few glasses of wine! No, there's no expense involved, I'll ask my non-drinking daughter who's around at Easter to get you back to Europ'hotel by car later in the evening. (I might have had a drinky or two myself........ : We can sort details out before the evening......yes? Pilgrim.

Hi Pilgrim,
Can you add us to the tour please? We are booked on the overnight ferry Portsmouth - St. Malo arriving on the morning of 21st and are staying at the Europ Hotel for the Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday nights. Return ferry is the St. Malo - Portsmouth at 10.30 on Monday morning.
Sounds like a good meet......... hope you've booked some fine weather!

Hi bimbler900! More than happy to have you come along. Being an ex Essex man myself (nr Saffron Walden) how could I refuse....... Have a good read back through the thread and ask me anything you're not sure of. There are now three bikes turning up at Europ'hotel on Thursday and I have to work that day (damn ) but I'll get out after work to welcome you all. Details closer to the event of course. ;D As for the weather, well..........bring your wet gear just in case but I'll do all I can. Pilgrim.

To you all coming over: coastaldivvy's search for a toolkit has prompted me to offer some advice of what you might need here and how to get over simple problems. On my bike I carry a tyre 'bomb', a spare bulb kit, chain lube and a simple First Aid Kit. Garages over here are very strict on their lunch hours, if you're in a hurry they're not! Some garages won't do bikes either, you have to go to a 'specialist' but tyre repairs should be OK. I carry basic size sockets and spanners to remove both wheels, cross-head and flat screwdrivers, selected Allen keys, plug spanner, enough to get the tank off and rummage below. Some electrical tape and plastic cable ties. Final choice/preference is up to individuals of course. Just my guidelines............. Pilgrim.

Brian, Don't get too upset about the Thursday arrival as you did offer a run starting on the Friday. Besides as the ferry doesn't dock until mid-day we won't be with you until late afternoon, planning to enjoy a leisurely lunch once we leave the ferry. Last time we were in the area around St Mare Eglise we found we saw loads of places to eat so if all goes to plan we will be in La Gacilly sometime after 4pm. that said the plan is somewhat flexible so who knows. Brian, Don't worry about the thursday as Ian said it was organised from Friday midday, its our choice if for travel reasons we arrive early, nice to take a leisurely ride and lunch break and arrive later on thursday. Be nice to get a good night in the hotel and unrushed morning before going out on the 1st ride on friday. Just greatful :1. for the chance to get away 2. get away on the bike
Cheers Charlie
