Hi All Unfortunately an unexpected requirement for Mac to work will prevent him leading the first half of the run on Saturday. I have booked a day off on Friday and will go and try Mac's route out and maybe an extension of my own run, and then decide what's best to use. My trusty route tryer outer will be with me for a veggie brekky and ride So please bear with me on Saturday, some of the roads I have never used before. Not had much response from people on breakfasts, any more for the list ? I need to finalise numbers by midweek ideally, although they don't need to be exact. Just a reminder, if anyone has any YDC branded clothing, tea shirts, hats etc, please wear them on Sunday so we have a good representation. More info to follow later in the week, but the meet and start times are finalised (as per post 1 on this thread) Cheers Dave Ps, may be looking for a back marker on the day if anyone feels the urge

I'll be up for back marker duties Carry a decent tool kit - I'll be on the Fazer 600 if I can get it taxed . ( Managed to get the main lights working, then this evening the indicators too, just got the rear brake light to sort & the speedo. Oh - & the fuel guage. So you best carry a fuel can too .)

I can also offer my services as a back back marker. Bob Give over....you'll last all of 5 mins and decide its more fun playing in the middle with Chele and I! ;D Dave, I'm around on Friday so may pop over for the pre-run jaunt. Why don't you just have the destination set on the sat nav and then lead everyone on a wild chase around the back roads and see what happens! ;D

Dave, I'm around on Friday so may pop over for the pre-run jaunt. Jaunt? This is serious route planning Will be meeting at the Super Sausage (not to be confused with Jack Hill where the read thing starts) at 9am. It's on the A5 a couple of miles South of Towcester, could always meet you somewhere on the A413 I might be accused of copying Martin

I was also gonna suggest I meet up with you on Saturday on the way to the start if that's OK?

No probs Joolsy, do you know where Deep Mill Diner is on the 413 between Amersham and Aylesbury ? (right near where you and Dave overtook my car the other weekend), there is a map on my original post on this thread or google maps and postcode HP16 0DH), I would propose meeting there at 8am on Friday ? Then we can discuss a meeting time for Saturday Apologies if Friday is a bit disjointed and repetitive, I have a few things to try ! Dave

Thanks to Martin and Jools for your company today helping to finalise the route. Was a good ride, especially once the rain cleared up, the meaty breakfast at the Super Sausage was good All sorted now and we agreed it is just about right Had a minor scare as we pass Silverstone and there is an event going on this weekend, have checked with the track and they say traffic could be slightly heavier than normal, but won't be any road closures etc. Look forward to seeing everyone at the weekend, I will check these boards this evening in case anyone has any last minute questions. Best wishes Dave Ps Dont forget your wellies and stand pucks for the fun day, weather forecast for Sunday is dry and sunny, but it has been a bit damp lately.
