You gotta Flaunt it... A quick question for other XJ6 owners, upon collecting the bike i noticed that the funky little thing that houses the number plate illumination lmp was a bit wobberly... " Oh they are all like that sir. " says the guy... Sure enough when i went back into the show room and tested a couple in there they too were wobbly... So was your wobberly too... is it still wobberly or did you fix it ? if so how ? Flymo

Lovely colour scheme BTW.

Hmm, looks good Andy. Clive, do you specialise in taking vids of wobbly bits or are you that used to loose fittings on bikes you purchase it's a matter of common practice ?

Cheers Clive, I was happy that it wasn't going to fall off after tugging at it in various directions... I still don't like it.. OH well can't have everything.
Yeah 2013 colours are grey/blue OR white... I felt the Grey/blue looked much nicer, that of course is down to personal taste.

Technically this site *only* caters for the older Divvys. I must have missed that post, Breva Boy . For years Mac & I campaigned to change/adjust the logo to attract and cater for the new folk and their new fangled XJ6's but we seemed to be stuck in the old times. I still hope all are welcomed, G'vnor. <tugs peak of flat cap>

I've always thought that Divvys had a certain timeless style, marred by an dated 80's headlamp design - to this day they still look ok, but the new ones do look good. For true stylish design though, you need an Italian flair

It's not an XJ400-600-900s

it's more of a 600 than the xj600...
xj6 engine capacity is 599.8 cc xj600 engine capacity is 598 cc
The straw is getting thin up this end !

Banned or not I think that bike is rather tasty. My opinion is it is far more relevant to XJ's than any undesirable oil burning Italian combination of bean cans and scaffolding. or a Suzuki for that matter. I like the look of them, not sure it would be much good to me though, no place to sit my belly.

Actually yesterday, but still quite satisfying, With all the rain we have been having lately i had neglected to clean the bike for a few weeks and it was getting rather grubby, anyway took the fairing off to get behind them, gave it a pretty good going over, nothing appears to be corroding just yet, checked the chain didn't need adjusting ( another happy scottoiler ) do have to remember to take the chain guard and front sprocket cover off to clean behind mind. the bit of plastic in front of the rear wheel and lower part of the under tray do a remarkable good job of keeping most of the crap off the rear shocker. I have to say I'm an so far impressed with the bike. Now to sort out the D6 ready for when they start throwing salt and grit on the roads. Fltmo

3 years of ownership so far.... Only issue was the OEM O ring chain which decided to spit out the O rings at 14,000 miles. Fantastic little bikes with perfect fuelling.
