Was that OEM chain a D.I.D one? i had one on the D6 that munched the O-rings after 7000, it was like the side plates had moved, but the sprocket alignment looked pretty good,

It was the OEM fit DID. Many owners had the O ring failure and tried to claim off their warranty.
