Ok here's how my last few days...
Last night I went to start the bike, turned the keys, green neutral light and lamps on. Tried the ignition, nothing, the oil light came on, and goes off when i let go of the ignition button.
So I rolled the bike, raised stands lowered stands, used the cut off switch, etc, phoned a friend. I put the bike in gear rolled it, took it out of gear, tried to start it, Nothing.
So I phoned a friend, he said cut off switch, side stand (bike not in gear tho)
then as he said he would ring a mechanic, i tried the ignition and the blighter started. I rode the 27 miles home and popped the bike on the centre stand.
This morning, I went to start the bike, I wanted to heat teh exhaust a little to putty a small hole... Nothing, no starting, same as the night before.
So out came the haynes manuel, followed what was suggested, checking for corroded wires about the ignition relay. Everything seemed to be ok, so I am stuck, I put the bike back together, and it just won't start, no jiggling will do anything.
Haynes manual suggests the relay on the right of the bike could be the issue and may need replacing...
But I have looked here an a few people mention coroded points, but I am not sure where I am to look for these...
Am I over looking anything.
(I'm taking tomorrow off work to have a good look through and I am going to speak with a mate who has a nephew who is a bike mechanic)
Any advice / tips would be great
