Are there many London riders on this Forum? I often pop down to The Ace on dry Sundays. It's a good meeting place for London riders. As its central its possible to get to most Home Countries areas quite easily.
We could even make it a regular meeting place for London Riders looking for a sunday blast?

Hi Jim
I live in High Wycombe but work in West London, and ride to the Ace from time to time - summer evenings are nice there.
Can you make it down for the Dashwood to Ace run on 31st March ?
Regards
Dave ;D

Hi Jim,
I have a feeling that some of the others met up at the Ace and Boxhill a few times last summer...I was wanting to pop down but was nursing a Motorbike accident at the time!
I'm up for a meeting though...although I work 4 on 4 off so won't have the chance to join you every weekend!

Hi Dave
Yeah I intend doing the Dashwood - Ace Run bit of the Postcombe. And hopefully the Sunday Run.
Hi Jools
That sounds like at least 3 of us then. I was'nt suggesting every Sunday. Just hoping to get a regular bunch of us London YDC Riders using it regularly

There are some good runs bearing east from The Ace that I know very well. Along the old A11 through Woodford Green to the Bikers Hut at High Beach, then on through Epping Forest is pretty. The pretty way to Southend. Yes there are several pretty ways avoiding the main Arterial A127.......... Anyway thats a few I know.....no doubt other London riders will know other routes. It's just a matter of getting together regularly and doing them. Jim

I'm up for the odd meet at the Ace. Just a 30 mile blast down the M40 for me and it's closer than Boxhill. I'll be doing the Dashwood to Ace run on the Saturday of the Postcombe weekend s look forward to meeting you then Paul

It's looking good! A few of us Suvveners coming together now then.
It should make a useful group for regular rides. When the weather breaks of course!!

Hi I'm out near Lakeside Shopping centre near the Dartford Crossing. I'm often on the A13 into London and now I'm working in West London I'll be seen all over the place! If your having a meet sometime I'll be up for it but I usually have a habit of working when it comes around!
Cheers

So what about poppin along to the Ace Cafe after the Postcombe practice run? I -*think*- the reason for the unreasonable start time is because Fiasco/Teffort/someone has to be somewhere else in the PM. .......... or maybe they just like getting us all up early ??

You're right Martin - I'll own up, it's me - I have to be somewhere else on Sunday afternoon which is why we're starting early. We have now moved the time to 8.45hrs meet for 9.00 start so it's not quite so bad.

Oh btw Dave..... You using a special relay to relay the hotgrips relay into the light relay? Or are you relaying the hotgrips relay through a 2nd relay that will relay into the light relay!?
If that ain't confusing anyone then I don't know what will....although I'm sure Martin will understand it!

Jools, ...don't bother with a relay for your grips Jools. The extra weight will only upset your Divvy's fuel consumption. Do you think I should supervise Fiasco's fettling? With a spade connector fitted to the end of the live feed, you can slip it on the underside of the fuse box, onto the ignition feed fuse. Presto - only on with ignition, & protected b y a 10amp fuse. Though typical grips only draw about 4amps max. Just out of interest - Does anyone have any evidence that a relay is advised for connecting heated grips? Someone really should tell Oxford & Motrax & all the others: Oxford installation instructions: Motrax Installation instructions: I had a third set of instructions, for some cheapy grips. But I'm afraid I can't find them. I prob threw them away as they each say the same thing. I reckon Fiasco is trying to dump his excess stock of relays onto you Jools Martin.

........... no sweat, Jools. I only had to dig out the instructions, scan them at a resolution which allowed them to remain legible, adjust colour balance & contrast a bit, upload them to photobucket & then post the reply.
I ain't really bovvered ;-)

Yer good idea Martin, Jools was telling me she wants grips that only come on, off, on, off, on, off when the indicators are on I will have you know I bought a new relay still in the packet with receipt - how very dare you !!
