Google, 'waterproof oversuits', there are loads out there from cheap to expensive. Choices are one or two piece suits, which suits you best? The one piece ones have less joints to leak but can be a bngger to put on, unless you can dislocate your joints easily They do work and are lightweight too. HTH, Trev

I have a Buffalo two piece, which so far seems fine.
But with the cold weather looming, how about a decent hi-vis jacket. Mine cost just over £20, it's waterproof and quilted - so dry, warm, visible and cheap.

Don't be fooled into thinking that if the Police use it, it must be good! The "waterproofs" that they used to issue (might have changed in the last 8 years though; H&S and all that) to us in Strathclyde was far from waterproof! Half an hour in a Greenock shower and you were soaked . I think the gear they issue to bike cops is good, so if you can get your hands on some discontinued stuff along those lines then good luck. Just be very wary of people suddenly slowing down in front of you, and all manner of other dopey things that they think impress the Police!

I have a £50 Hein Gericke one piece and a cheapo Aldi two piece oversuit. The cheapo two piece is by far the most waterproof. Try Busters or M&P.

Naturally with my complete lack of motivation, have'nt actually got round to getting anything as of yet !, came home from Liverpool today, crawling along the M62 pitch black & of course it was hammering down!!, when i eventually get round to getting some stuff you can guarantee we'll have a dose of the Global Warmingsd & no more rain

I use a Weise two piece outfit with protection for shine and very light rain - rubbish in the wet. As soon as it buckets down I have a one piece Rider waterproof over suit which cost me £25 - 3 years ago. Elasticated wrists, off set front zip then velco front fastening with elastic under the boot straps and stud fasteners for the lower leg. - works for me but get XXL if you wanner struggle less when putting in on. Given that I am used to togging up with it now I recommend the one piece approach and as you get used to it the dislocation gets easier. The hardest thing I find is getting my mitt gloves on under the elasticated wrists - but after a bit of swearing they go on just right. I still get my IPOD in the oversuit front left one and only pocket.. Just remember when you put the oversuit on to get your bike keys etc out of your inner clothes pockets....a real burger when you remember just as the last glove goes on!!! I also have a very leaky left boot so used the old skool method to keep my feet dry yesterday and can recomend Asda carrier bags as the best!
