Hi Guys, Im looking for a pair of Kevlar Jeans which wont break the bank and Ebay have a selection but im not too sure if they are real deal Kevlar or not. Its these ones:- Ebay Kevlar JeansThe reason for my query is that I was under the impression that Kevlar was more of a Yellow coloured material being the colour it forms after being built up by its constituent parts. The jeans here look more Lime Green ? Anyone own a pair of these or can suggest an alternative ? Im aware of the Draggin and Red Route jean brands but a bit put off by the price. £50 is more my budget than the £100+ the others are roundabout. Any advise is welcome. Cheers Tone

I'd buy them, they look the Bogs Dollocks, and the seller looks 'Kosher'

Do you think the label on them is big enough?

Go to bikersgearaustralia.com/ and read all about them. They say: Brand New Quality biker Kevlar lined denim jeans, To complement our ever expanding portfolio of products BIKERS GEAR AUSTRALIA are proud to introduce the BG Kevlar jeans. This exclusive brand embodies top quality, durability, cutting edge design and features. Latest 2010 design...supplied in stunning ALL blue. These have 40% extra Kevlar lining than other brands on the market, the extra Kevlar is in the hip area and down along shin area, they are Kevlar towel lined in complete back side area, hip area, and knee and shin area The Technical Stuff Kevlar is a soft knitted non-abrasive material and is comfortable against the skin. The fabric is unique in construction and offers breathability and flexibility. The material itself is designed to dissipate heat quickly and distribute air evenly through the fibres. Kevlar is a man made fibre, which offers incredible protection against abrasion, cuts and heat. Five times stronger than steel pound for pound, flame resistant up to 400 degrees Celsius and exceptionally cut and slash resistant. Kevlar in various forms is used in ropes that tie up ships, clothing worn by saw-millers, fire-fighters, glass handlers and air force pilots, tank armour, aeroplane wings and lightweight canoes. Probably the best known is the production of bullet proof vests! Although constructed in a different way (lets face it who wants to wear a bullet proof vest on their arse!) The knitted Kevlar fabric cannot be easily ripped, torn or damaged in any way apart from manually cutting with scissors and the like.

Yep they look good I personally have 2 pairs of the old style draggin jeans & the alternatives seem to have far more kevlar than mine,I would not worry about the colour of the kevlar that much as it looks about the same as mine.what i can tell you is the warmth they offer with thermals underneath I never feel the cold in these jeans but protection well that is another matter because as far as I know none of them offer any hard armour & I tried to adapt some to protect my knees? although mostly I potter around town

Seems to be why the colour is different. If they have a softer material ( towelling ) mounted over the kevlar than that would explain it.
