just had the urinate taken as i told my mate i was getting a diversion 600 he said i should get a fazer as it is taller i been on net diversion 770mm and fazer is 790mm not that big of a diffrence is it because he is a fat git and the shock would not take his lard bum ? or is there a major diffrence in seat height ? and also can these bikes seat be hired? i see a diversion as the ideal bike for me cheap practical reliable easy to work on my previous bike was a yamaha majesty 250 riden in all weathers all year in all conditions. very practical with all the storage. the comments giving nuts about the diversion came from a hya bysa rider that thinks he breaks the sound barrier and does not use it in rain, dark winter ect. weird what the automated text reader does aint it

I suppose you feel better on a bike that 'fits'. Short (fat) legs should be closer to the ground whereas the width of the seat might impose further constraints......? So which model has the slimmer seat? I believe anything is possible to raise the seat height. As for Hyabusa-man............. Well, what else can you say that's polite?

Is there much of a difference on these bikes in the distance from seat to pegs? I don't get on with sports bikes I find my legs too cramped.

What do you want the bike to do vs. cost.
The Divi will be cheaper to buy & do most of what the Fazer will do. the Fazer has better performance is lighter & handles better.
Older Divies may cost more in maintenance being older but a good Divi is better than a rough Fazer.
Personally I would look for a D900 but I had ridden for years an the bike I had before my D900 was an XS 650 so any thing was better. If you thing the D900 is to big a step up then go for the 600. The Fazer 600 probably has similar performance to the D900 but you would have to work it so not as relaxed.
As for size try it & see.
I have progressed (got old) & now have a fazer 1000 it is lower & the bars are relatively higher to the seat than the D900 & I love it.

friend has a faser 600 and i have a divvy 600 , i find the sitting position on the divvy better. esaier to get feet on the ground for me on the divvy, and with the slightly higher tank shape near seat on the faz i find that i am stretching slightly. maybe its cos i have short legs n a larger belly that the fazer doesnt quite fit
