Hello all, been a lurker but decided it was time to join. I apologies in advance for this being a question on my first post but would really appreciate any help. 92 600 which struggles to get past 80mph. I have checked foro restrictors and can confirm there are none. When in top gear at about 5500rpm the bike feels like it is running out of petrol. I have checked for blockages/kinks and have stripped and cleaned the carbs. 1st & 2nd has the same issue but at about 8000rpm, 3rd & 4th about 6000rpm. The bike is also running very rich. I have fitted the electric pump mod to stop any starting issues I had. Hope you can help

Blocked fuel filter, or gauze filter? Blocked tank vent? Those would be the normal guesses but you say it's running rich. Blocked air filter? Is it smooth enough at lower rev ranges?

It has had a new filter put on to see if that would solve it but to no avail. New breather pipe fitted and yes it runs up to about 7-8k rpm in 1st & 2nd but then starts lagging like it is being starved of fuel. I have checked all lines etc and no blockages.

Check the Throttle Position Senser (TPS) instructions on this panel. Also make sure all sparkplugs are firing as they should.
Check the four exhaust downpipes are evenly hot. Any that are cool suggests that pot isnt firing properly.
Also check the chokes are not sticking. They are actually sliding plungers that should block off the cold running jets. When they stick open the choke is on.
After that its compression checks, valve clearances, etc

I will have a look tonight and report back, cheers!
Just a quicky, I replaced the vacuum pump with an electric one. The vacuum hose that went from the pump to the carbs has now been blocked off but I still have the vacuum hose from the tap to the cylinder attached, is this correct?

CD - blocked on choke. Why didn't I think of that?
