My screen throws the air stream straight at my head causing a lot of buffeting and wind noise. If I raise myself about 3 inches or crouch down a bit it's ok.I'm thinking of trying it without the fly screen,or even removing the half fairing altogether. What mods would I need to do if removing the fairing as it looks like the headlamp would be wrong and probably wiring would be exposed. I know you can get a higher screen but was thinking of experimenting a bit first.

There was some stuff on here recently about streetfightering a D6. But it looks like quite a bit of work to make a decent-looking job of it. Definitiely easier (and cheaper) to try a higher or lower screen first.

I have the same problem on a D9. At the moment its got another standard D9 screen bungeed on top of the screen. Its stopped the turbulence and the constant pressure isnt noisy either. I obviously need to sort out something neater (it looks carp) but its proved that bashing the air aside is necessarily the best option. My screen now has a continuous convex curve bringing the back edge closer to the rider and smoothing the airflow around my shoulders. Pillion riders also like it because there's none of the buffeting between the two bodies.
