or Normandy 2009, 4 months later! Yep, we got up here a bit after the YDC Easter visit and what wonderful weather! It's very beautiful here but on the roads there's so much hidden, you have to get up high: ........really high! ......and at the bottom there's the babbling stream too........ All very pretty but very dangerous! '183m of un-protected cliffs' the sign said, 'be careful'.........OOOOOOOOOOOH! (you won't get that in the UK!) This is the castle at Creully with a monument to the 4th/7th Welsh Dragoon Guards below: The American Cemetery doesn't need words........... ..........an explanation of the galaxy might be simpler.......maybe... So we saw Bayeux Cathedral too: Roman founding (round arches at ground level) and gothic above. Nice flying buttresses too, but that's because the french always built their walls too thin! And so we went home......... It'll be nice weather at Arromanches next Easter............ ;D

Yes Gordy, quite right! I find you have to get off from time to time though to really take it all in. Can't just blast around the countryside all the time.

I will have to keep locking back at your pics to remind me of summer.
