OK prob been asked before but I searched first and could not find any posts about it.
1999 600s occasionaly dumps oil out of the engine breather hose. Appears to be no set reason (that I can see) sometimes I have only driven a few yards and parked when it happens. Some times after a long run some times it dosent happen at all. Never much oil comes out
Any suggestions? Cheers

Cleaning the breather pipes seems to be a regular *must do* on the 600.

In the same way that cleaning fork fluid off your brakes is a regular job until you fix the fork seal. Guess what, I have not had any troubles with leaking oil since I fixed my bike not to leak any more.

Thanks guys. Spot on
Bit late tonight to do anything. Wife would kill me if I went to work on the bike at this time of night.
Will get the tank off tomorow clean and check those hoses

Amorti replaced the main breather hose with a length of tough garden hose. Much fatter and no more breather problems just make sure there are no kinks in it.

The garden hose method worked for me! A stylish yellow too

So it seems one of "my" mods has caught on, lets just wait and see until a few more folk try the 1/2" master cylinder mod
