hi. just joined. Got a 94 divvy and resolved a few issues over the years(replaced the original fuel pump for the upgrade electric one). However, the little stub on the main stand for your foot has just snapped off! The part is not on the fiche so it's not a standard part. Does anyone know where I can get a new one (I'm already keeping an eye on ebay for a used one). Thanks. Dominic

Unless you habitually park using the centre stand, it may be just as easy to take it off and just refit it (without the spring) as and when you need it for maintenance. This is what I've decided to do, having just bought a D6 with the same problem.
It only takes a couple of minutes to fit the bolts and screw the nuts on loosely, and it's easy enough to pull the bike back onto the stand without the stub if you roll the front wheel onto a piece of 1/2" thick timber first.
Of course, you can use a paddock stand instead, but there are certain jobs (front wheel removal, swing arm bearings) which are easier with a centre stand.

Thanks for that. Handy to know, although in the end a stand came up on ebay which I cleaned up, painted and fitted so all is well now...until the next problem of course. That's bikes for you.

Its well worth getting it powder coated and use lots of waxoyl. Mine only gets used on rare occasions, so have to remember to drop the centre stand after rain because it always fills with water.
