Hi,
Can anyone let me know the carrying capacity of the D9? I have it in mind it's 195kgs?
Would an uprated shock improve this or just put strain on other components?

I've carried much much more than that with no adverse effects. Had the D9 for 7 years and nothing has gone wrong. I did replace the shock with a new one when I bought the bike but apart from that it's all been minor. Of course I did rebuild the rear end after an accident in 2003.
Just counted it up and regularly used to ride with 230Kg. No prizes for guessing what the bulk of that was.

There does seem to be some similarity here. ;D
I'm a whisker over 150 kgs so hopefully as the wife is no where near 80 we should be ok if not to much luggage .
She's finally agreed to have a go at pillion.
