Have seen kits for about a tenner on eBay for replacing all the engine fasteners. The engine's coming out in a while for an overhaul - is it worth repalcing the bolts with stainless ones at the same time?

They do look prettier than the standard bolts so I guess its all down to personal taste. I found out the hard way that the originals dont like 12 point sockets. I now only ever use a 6 point socket and never even think about trying spanners on them.
IMHO stainless bolts are well worth having on the carbs. The originals are easy enough to chew up at the best of times, but once they are rusty.... :-(
My carbs will get done eventually.
