I now change my bike oil at 2/3 service schedule for a cheaper line. Why?
Top name bike lubricants deteriorate over use, of course. If you put them in your engine then you want the best performance before the next scheduled change. So you stick to the schedule.
Older oil becomes thinner and less efficient so why spend mountains out when the cheaper options far out-strip the benefits in durability and price......?

I use Hein Gericke semi synth in our bikes - a ZX9, a ZX6 and Helga the horrible. Cheaper and better than Hafords stuff - it's rebadged Motul. I can also recommend Morris Lubricants semi-synth, too.
