Worse thing of all is when your filtering between the cars when they are all queued up on the motorways.... a daily accurrance down here.... keep your eyes open for car drivers disgarding lit cigarette buts out the windows.... wish I had a £1 for every near miss I've had like that!!!! Not a pleasent experience at all.

Yep, have to agree.. does become a bit of a hot topic ! especially when one hits you... Now with mobile phones being targetted for use of in cars, (unless totally handsfree !) how long before lighting up is to become an offence, as you HAVE to take your eyes off the road when lighting a fag! and not therefore in 'complete' control of vehicle. surely just as dangerous as mobile 'phones.. Of course we always answer our phones whilst riding don't we !

Something which has annoyed me when you hear of people pulled over for eating a Kit-Kat and such like but you're ok if you're lighting a fag!

That's nothing. The other day, whilst fitering, a guy 'cleared his throat' as I rode by. He was very apologetic, expecting me to thump him.
I get the screen-wash in the face a lot. I tell the driver that their screen-wash doesn't taste very nice. They usually laugh about it and apologise and agree to watch out for bikers before doing it again.
Aren't I nice for educating the second-class road users? ;D

I would love to ride up to the side of a car and empty an ashtray full of filth onto his lap I was sorely tempted to do just that one day while driving my lorry through Aberdeen. A car load of wide boys pulled up beside me at a red traffic light with stereo booming away and passsenger window open. Passenger was shouting something not too complimentary about lorry drivers. I thought it would have been a very good moment to empty the ashtray which was full of (other) drivers ciggy ends and ash. ;D Fortunately my sensible side got the better of me. Al.

Don't the cigarette smoking fools in their tin boxes end up in wooden boxes Not a dig at smokers but a bit of lateral thinking or something like that.

EIGHT WEEKS today  since I stopped Now when I follow a car with the occupants smoking I can smell it a mile off. I hope anybody else who packed it in at new year is still managing to hold out. Good luck to them

Agree,
1) It's a FILTHY habit you wouldn't get me participating in (stopped 6th of October lol - still going strong, in fact don't even miss it)
2) When I did smoke, I wouldn't chuck butts out of windows.
3) "EIGHT WEEKS today since I stopped Now when I follow a car with the occupants smoking I can smell it a mile off. I hope anybody else who packed it in at new year is still managing to hold out. Good luck to them "
