This is a FAQ - the answer is that although front calipers are interchangeable between many pre-radial-braked Yamaha models, those on the 600 are the odd ones out because the mounting bolt centres are closer together. So I think you're stuck with finding one from another 600.

Unless they're really bad, it only costs £16 a side to get original Yam seals off Wemoto, then you have a job done that will stay done, not just another (pair of) old caliper(s).

Is it the single one? You could try being the first to fit a blue spot caliper. It would require a couple of mm in spacers behind the disc, and a matching amount removed from the caliper's mounting face. Otherwise the caliper hits the spokes. It should work nicely with the original 14mm master cylinder, which is massively oversized for the original sliding caliper.
Other than that, the original caliper (you'd have to go get one from ebay) is plenty adequate, when paired with a half inch master cylinder. Even better if you treat it to new seals. I also recommend the £10 cheap pattern pads from Wemoto as cheap and actually quite decent.
I had a few looks at a TRX 850 caliper, which looks thinner than the blue spot and like it *might* fit. Unfortunately they don't have a great reputation for performance or maintenance, unlike the blue spots which are apparently pretty well the pinnacle of non-brembo, non-radial calipers.
Thing is, once you fit a half inch master, the brakes really are fine, so I've stopped looking into it all.

If it's a single disk then the caliper is the same as the 900, but of course you'll need the left hand one

I've got 2003 R6 blue spots on my 900, but as Amorti says they hit the wheel spokes if tried on the 600. You could try trimming metal off the back of the caliper, but do some (very) accurate measurement if you go too thin the caliper could burst under pressure.
Amorti's idea of Honda 1/2" master cylinder with a Divvie caliper makes the most sense.

I used a half inch master cylinder from a 1990-ish honda ntv 650. The size is the important thing, they have it stamped on them. The NTV range had single discs for quite a while, the availability is good. I would go for nissin, as they were used on lots of bikes from both honda and suzuki and work well, good quality.
there's a thread about it - search "wooden brakes"
