Greetings to the Font of all knowledge ;D
Chele has listed our spare 600 wheels on Fleecebay and we have had an Email From the states asking how much to send just the wheel (awkward Yanks)to the states however as this is a complete wheel/tyre/disc(and knackered sprocket and bearings) the whole lots weighs in at 18KGs so to save me stripping everything off so i can find the exact weight of the wheel has anyone got a clue as to how much the individual bits weigh or the wheel
Max......

I would see a tyre dealer for the tyre weight and deduct it from the 18kg total. For parcel weight I'd gnore the weight of the disk and sprocket as you'll add that back in packaging the bare wheel.

i would not deal with anyone from abroad for such an item, the divvie was common enough in the states for there to be plenty available there, other than that price up the complete wheel and state that as your price, then you know the max its going to be

Do what I do Max
Double the price (by the weight now) and offer to refund overpayment Via Paypal once the item has been posted.
Never failed for me and the buyer gets there refund, they are happy as they know how much its cost.
I don't have to pay out extra and loose out due to postal charges.

Give UPS a ring and see what they charge.
Best guess would be around 15Kg's

A quick search on ebay.com for a Seca II (their version of the divvy) wheel comes up with loads, all reasonably priced. Seems very odd their bidding for a heavy wheel from the UK. Will cost way more to post than they could buy stateside inc carriage, and a lot slower unless their gonna pay air freight.
I'd go along with Ian on this one and avoid.

Greetings Wow guys didnt think i would get so many response during the working Day ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i agree with the comments about dealing with buyers from over the pond and i had already responded to the question asking him why he couldn't get one from his own area (no response yet)according to his Ebay account hes in California so there should be plenty of the bits available over there but if some Muppet want s to pay £100 to post him a wheel thats his problem ;D but i wouldn't post it out to him until i had taken the money out of Paypal so he wouldn't be able to claim it back thanks for the tips/ideas have just looked at Ebay.com and there are a few so it does beg the question WHY??? And if you are a buyer & you pursue recovery of your payment due to non-delivery of goods, you might just get this response from Paypal: "Resolution Centre – Claim Details Return to Resolution Centre -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover £0.00 GBP. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time."........... it seems it's pretty much like stuffing cash into an envelope & posting it off .

Paypal............................. Once you accept payment for a sale, the Purchaser has the right to RE-Claim there money for up to 90 days after the transaction. Even if you take the money out of Paypal it doesn't matter. To be "Verified" through paypal you have to give them either Card Details or/and Bank details. Thats where they have you, I had one guy claim that the goods had not arrived and he claimed through Paypal to get his money back. Paypal TOOK £167.00 out of my Bank account and held it until there "Investigations" had been completed I had to have PROOF of Posting AND PROOF of Delivery faxed through to Paypal. All of this took 5 weeks, in all this time paypal had my money (who got the interest from that then?) At the end of it (and many many emails and phone calls to there call center in India or some other place ) they agreed to give me my money back. That took another 10 days When it was all over with I just had an email telling me that there investigation was complete and my money would be re-funded to my bank account NO "Sorry" NO "Apologies" nothing Paypal is OWNED by EBay Corp, as such they are out to make money-----Period, If your posting to ANYONE for an EBay sale then make sure you post it with Proof of Delivery ONLY, Make sure you get a signature. Either that or DON'T use paypal as a seller. JUST as a Buyer ;D
