just get it on the centre stand, remember to loosten the two alan key pinch bolts on the bottom of the fork (disc side) before you take the spindle out, the only thing is getting it under the front mud gaurd, I jacked mine up a bit underneath the engine with a bit wood on the jack, but if you get someone to sit on the back you can wiggle the wheel out without to much tgrouble and preesing the pads back will help as you will possibly have a lip on the disc that will stop it a bit and the extra movement will help also, its easier if you remove the mudgaurd though

I think on the the double disc ones you have to take the calipers off the forks and let them dangle on their hose (or if you're really good you can tie them up with wire). Good opportunity to clean the pistons after all the winter cack.
Putting the wheel back is more fiddly - I always seem to have trouble with the r.h. spacer falling out as I try to wangle it in between the forks. Clean and grease the spacer and the speedo drive where they go into the seals. The tyre shop probably won't want these on the wheel so keep them in a safe place (I usually thread them on the spindle).

Take the speedo cable off where it fastens to the speedo drive on the axle, it's a ribbed collar than may be tight, a rag and some molegrips usually sorts it though

DONT EVER USE ORDINARY GREASE ON THE SPEEDO DRIVE.
The plastic (nylon) gear will swell and sieze onto its spindle and then melt from the friction. I found out the hard way and had to spend £40 on a new drive because Ebay had nothing. Only silicone grease or white grease are suitable for nylon gears.
