Place your bets now.......
Fiasco puts new sticky rubber on bike BEFORE track day (in Lincs)
How many weeks before his name appears on a similar thread, replacing said set?
4wks?
5wks?
How many K?
At least this set shouldn't be square ;-)

In reply to the original question, A&B tyres in newbury will do it for £10 a wheel, but you can't rush 'em. I've got a pair of contisport attacks ready for Scotland.... they're going on next week. theyll be square by the time you get to Scotland

It can also be a sign of cornering with the throttle closed, pushing weight onto the front.

try to wear the sides out

You probably know this but low pressure in the front tyre makes it more likely to wear unevenly esp on the sides. I've now pumped mine up to the max recommended.

..........low pressure in the front tyre makes it more likely to wear unevenly ............. .......... as does high pressure! Stick to the recommended pressure for the tyre. Actually - how often do folks check their pressures? I know it's supposed to be a pre-ride check, but does anyone?? Me - I do it once a week or thereabouts. The only bike that never seems to lose any pressure is the CX500, with it's ancient rims!

We should also check the tyre manufacturer figures for the bike. The BT45 on Divvie 600 should be run at 33psi not 28 as req'd for the original fitment Michelins. Run the front BT 45 at 28psi and it feels like its being pushed sidways and the tread blocks wear stepped.

Pretty obvious really to use the tyre manufacturers' pressures as opposed to the bike manufacturers' - all tyres are different.

i usually fluctuate the pressures and find what feels best, just a few pounds here or there can make a huge difference to the handling, wear is never the sole issue

Avons on mine, 33 front, 41 rear. Check once a week and front loses 1-2 psi, rear never changes.
Only a complete breast would use the oem tyre pressures on a different tyre, surely?

According to bridgestone, the BT45 on a 600 should be at 2.5 bar (36 psi) front and 2.8 bar (41 psi) rear. I've only ever seen a figure for tyre pressures, never ranges. Where you getting your info from CD?

It came from Yamaha, Haynes (foldy paper version) and the tyre fitter. Clearly I should have checked with the tyre manufacturer. But the Divvie is the first bike I've owned where the tyre pressure was so different between tyre makes. If memory serves they quote higher pressures when bike heavily loaded than when light loaded. (book sold with bike).

CD - according to the web site, ContiRoadAttack is the only fitment for the D900 (not ContiForce - although they have the correct size tyres) and these have not been officially approved yet!
From CRA should be 2.5 bar (36psi) and rear 2.9 bar (42 psi). This could be why you are getting the cupping in your tyre is not compatable with the bike or if you are running pressures too low .

I had probs on the 600 because I ran the tyre too flat.
The 900 is running 36/42. Thanks
I was not after ultimate grip and the ContiForce had the speed rating so I went for them. They seem to be wearing ok.

"it doesn't lose it, someone nicks it "at least living doon sarf only the air gets knicked and not the entire bike
