Dry traffic island, watching the cheap chippings road surface & being careful. Oh Yes. Avoid that loose gravel near the edge looks nasty. Wont catch me. Oh No.
Gentle squeeze of brake and turn it in...
B****R, F**k, Bo**ox, Etc. End up in a heap. No damage to me but bu**ered the bike.
Cheap tarred chipping resurfacing saves council a few £s and tends to pile up at the edges. Thin layers further out are invisible.
I know that, you know that... but dead easy to get caught out. Thank goodness I wasn't doing a knee down.

Well many many thanks for all those posts and votes of encouragement... I assure you.. no I really do assure you that I will work at my riding skills and be the first to admit that it would be great to be a hooligan and I fear I must decline for a while and shall leave all those wheelies and stoppies to those that know better, also I am a PPL... thats a pilot from what I've read and we ppl's have a saying that I think crosses the chasm between our hobbies/cash potholes. There are old pilots and there are bold pilots... but unfortunately there are no old bold pilots Today at 12:02pm, alpaholic wrote: Today at 11:36am, maddogmcq wrote:
I've been riding since 1976 and I know only too well that just after passing your test, you can get a little carried away and having fun can soon turn into a terrible accident.
I've had loads of fun on bikes without falling off.
Two types of bikers m8....those who have come off....like me.....and those who are due a fall! Thankfully I had mine early on in my biking days so I know it hurts!
But I'm over it! WHEY!!

I've had 18 "offs" whilst riding offroad one of which really hurt the others didnt. I'm sure i'm due a road "off" or will my offroad "offs" last me for a while?
