Hi guys, well after what seemed an age I finally got to my direct access course this week and am chuffed to say that I passed my test today, extremely chuffed as I thought that white van man had destroyed my run round Boston but I finished with just two minors so... chuffed to bits and looking forward to learning more about riding bikes, hopefully if the fen run happens this year I'll be on it...
safe biking guys and respect to my examiner...

Well done mate!! Stay safe and remember to save the racing for trackdays. Firstly, well done.... Secondly..... be a hooligan if you want - it's what bikes are about. Learn to wheelie, stoppie, do donuts..... make a nuisance of yourself.Works for me

Learn to wheelie, stoppie, do donuts..... make a nuisance of yourself.Works for me I've been riding since 1976 and I know only too well that just after passing your test, you can get a little carried away and having fun can soon turn into a terrible accident. Gadget's got a LOT to learn yet and needs to build up years of EXPERIENCE before he goes on rideouts with the likes of you, Gurninman ;D You hooligan! ;D You know, most of the time I ride my bike very safely and rarely dikk around, but occasionally I make the age-old mistake that fun only comes in the form of twisted throttles and invariably, I end up having a near miss after flying around a bend to find a gaggle of cyclists wobbling in my path or a tractor pulling out from a gap in the hedgerow, etc. It's sod's law! Over 30 years I've had about 4 get-offs and all these where when I was younger. Luckily none of them caused me great harm, although they all had great potential to. Sadly, some of my friends weren't as lucky as me and 3 of them are now dead. Another one has no right leg. Have fun Gadget - for life, not for today! Tom

I've had loads of fun on bikes without falling off. Two types of bikers m8....those who have come off....like me.....and those who are due a fall! Thankfully I had mine early on in my biking days so I know it hurts! But I'm over it! WHEY!! ;D
