We've seen trendy fashion covers for headlamps, but I just saw this. www.ventura-bike.com/english/products/light_guard/lightguards.htmI had some stick on/clip on guards on a car. One day a 2" pebble fell off the back of a skip wagon and hit a headlight. There was no way to stop the lorry so I stopped at the next exit. The pastic was broken in half but the lamp glass was untouched. Well worth the expense. But not seen any for Divvie 900s. Too old & uncool I guess :-(

Yeah noticed that... Dunno have to ask them. The car units had little translucent clips stuck on with glass bond adhesive.

They seem to use fear as a sales tactic:Ventura brings you a product that will not only help save you the expense of replacing broken headlights but will also ensure that the chances of being stranded on a lonely highway at night are minimal. Why take the chance? Shouldn't think there is much chance of your headlight getting broken on a lonely highway at night "Why take the chance?" What chance, sounds about as likely as getting struck by lightning

One half on the Light Guards & the other on your Headlight. deff hold them in place at 70mph + (Only on private roads though ) My brother has had them fitted to his bike for a few years now and they have never fallen off (at any speed) The idea of the Velcro is so you can wash the bike, etc etc with ease ;D I have got "Blue Tint" one's Hate to think what the replacement cost of a headlight is for an FJR

I decided the headlight on the Beemer looked VERY expensive to replace, so got a clear plastic protector off e-bay - 15 pound or so IIRC. Like some others here, it fixed with small velcro dots, has stayed put at high speed, and is removeable for cleaning. Call it a gamble, or insurance, if you like but it seemed to make sense to me. I can't recall ever seeing them offered for the divvy tho' Roger

The carbon bar ends were fitted to 'Beryl'. Went to take them back and the shop was boarded up...... Thanks to this thread I know how to attach the protector, small bits of white velcro. Sorted ;D Chiro, the Divvy 900s and 600s are listed on Venturas application list : www.ventura-bike.com/english/fitments/display.asp?manufacturer_id=15 no price though..... BTW Martin, what happened to the silicone?

Glad to see Divvies not forgotten. As you know them being older than a year or three they often get ignored for acessories. Try getting some crash mushrooms.
