ask the tester to explain, other than the shocks, there is only bearing, he/she should be happy to explain

With the shocker removed you should be able to feel any play in the swing arm bushes. Hagons can be rebuilt but last well so quzz the mechanic.

where is the "default" setting on the adjustor ?
is it possible that it has been set too firm ?
Failed words were "Rear Shock Absorber has inadequte dampning effect"
a pic of default position on hagon monoshock would be a help.

I'm not sure there is a 'default' position on the rear shock. Factory fitted 'usually' come set on position 3 (of 6) I had mine set up to 5, (I like it firm!!) and i'm not lightweight either! this is for a standard yamaha fitted, so don't know about after market ones, But pretty sure there is still no default setting, as such.
The shock 'should' absorb a bump and return , without bouncing about a few times before settling. hth

the yamaha default is 3 but how its looks is no indication on how old its is hagon shocks do wear out the shock on my divvy looks new now but been on ten years used to measure spring lenght on cars to see if it was within tolerance dont know if its the same on bikes but remember they wear over time and u get used to it there was a serial number on my old hagon shocks perhaps they could shed some light on the age if u contact hagon
