Just sitting here wondering, as you do, how many members here actually own a Diversion? (I still do). From what I can gather from reading the threads many people have moved on to bigger and better machines, the Fazer seems to be very popular. Absolutely no problem with this but it does beg the question as to if, during the move from MSN to here, a name change might have been appropriate, Yamaha club, Diversion-Fazer club etc? Or maybe I have got it all wrong, we all have Diversions and in 25 years time we will all be discussing our classic XJ600S's !! Ok, back to my little dusty corner.

Well on a recent poll Here 60 have divvys and 32 have other types of bikes. Now i do not know how many peeps are registered on this forum, but would guess at more than 78.

We have this question arise at least once a year ;-)
Consensus appears to be that since we were all introduced to this group by our ownership or love of Divvies, that's how it will stay.
............. btw, many who 'voted' in the poll for admitting ownership of 'lesser' or 'greater' bikes also have Divvies too ;-).
There was a fair turnout of Divvies on the IOW run :-)

Also you have to think that the divvy is no longer sold as new. And as many people like to ride new bikes due to the mileage they cover per year, staying on a divvy is just not going to happen. The fact is that although many do not own divvy's they are still a source of great information and help on issue's, to us newer riders of divvy's. For which I'm am very grateful.

Whatever anybody says, I beleive this is a motorcycle club that, because of its origins, happens to have alot of Diversion owners. After all, if I posted a message on here about where I could obtain say a Superdream exhaust, chances are I would get the answer, whereas other clubs might flame me and tell me to go to a Superdream forum for the answer. Because of the freindliness and helpfulness of all the members of this club people who sell their Diversions remain active members. I would not be surprised if, through word of mouth, there are members on here who have never owned a Diversion in their lives.
Rant over!

Ah do you mean the yellow folder and the blue page ? on the page that shows the list of threads. Folder will just man a thread, unless its got a red pin in it, then its a sticky that will stay at the top. Blue page is just a default show for a thread, can be changed to others using the message icon when posting a thread or reply.. Have a thumbs up here. ;D Woops wrong thread to reply in...

I see this forum as a thinktank . If you check all the boards , you'll see a high percentage of divvy topics. It's not which bike you ride now, but what's beeing posted here .
I ride a bandit1200N for the moment , but 3 years and 100.000km of divvy abuse brought me in contact whith the most divvy-errors thinkable

I ride an R reg Divvie 900 that's 10yo in a few months. But I love it. Fab engine that pulls whatever gear you like, even 2 up. Handles well enough for my skills and todays roads polluted with speed cams and myopic motorists,. Its comfy (reasonably), carries lots and handling hardly affected with three full-up Givis on the back. Fuel consumption ok servicing easy, insurance ok. What more could I reasonably expect to get from a bike.

It sure did. It was great except for an unscheduled breakdown on the M42, because reserve don't seem to be working.... did you say sold as seen, or with warranty? at least I have a spare tap just in case it's that

Ian, cheers for the caliper, I'll get that fitted tomorrow. Beebs, cheers for fetching it for us On the subject of the thread (theres a first), my sister Amanda is intending to join now shes met some of you, but shes way too short to ride a divvy so won't be an owner. She enjoys going on the back of mine so guess she sorta qualifies for membership. Ady

It don't matter to me. After all what is in a name. As an ex 600 & 900 Diversion owner I have them to thank for me being introduced to, what is to me, one really good club. You witness a nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere both here on tinternet and again on the club runs. What would we gain by changing the club name. The time will, no doubt, come when only a very small number of Diversions will survive. Might be in five, ten or even twenty years time, but that won't alter the fact that I used to own a couple of them and joined a club because of them, and because of them I had a lot of fun.
