Hi Anyone know the max speed of an FHM 250, these are the chinese chopper style motorcycle, same looking as a Honda Shadow, thinking of getting a cheap one to introduce girl friend back to biking, thanks Dave

20 to 25bhp will do about 80. How much power does it make.

If its anything like the Suzuki GN 250 i had when i returned to biking last year then 75 to 80. Only thing i found was that anything over 60 was painfull due to wind and the fact the bike was straining a lot.

Just found this... www.made-in-china.com/showroom/geelybike/product-list/catalog-1.htmlIProduct Description Overall Size (mm) 2190 *740*1080 Wheel Base (mm) 1460 Ground Clearance (mm) 120 Dry Weight (kg) 146 Max. Speed (km/h) 90 Max. Load (kg) 140 Wheel Size Front: 3. 00-18, Rear: 130/90-15 Brake Type Front: Disc, Rear: Drum Engine Model 250cc 4 Stroke, Air Cooled, Twin Cylinder Starting Mode Electric And Kick Start 90kph is only about 56mph so it might be a missprint. But with those 'bars 56 is probably enough. She might at first think a Divvie 600 is heavy, but she wont be fed up with the performance after a couple of weeks.

chinese copys are crap, there is a lad who has bought a 07 honda 125 copy and its got a seriously buckled wheel, they will get the quality in time, but your best off buying a jap model imho and let others suffer the quality issues

17Kw / 0.745 = 22.82 bhp. So top speed will be around 80, but with the cheapo suspension and cruiser riding position 50 mph would be as much as I'd like to risk. I'd go for any Japanese 125, but avoid anything that looks abused. It will have been - and some. If you are careful a decent Honda 125 will turn up, but I'd avoid the Honda CG125. They always were slow and not very nice. They still are.
