What a total joke and again shows that any minority group are fair game for the politicians.
As to policing it.....
One could easily see that some officals would soon get a early bath at certain locations....
As to safegarding stocks, just how would they do that ?

Another rip off from this Government. If they put as much effort into solving the problems in this country as they do scoping how to remove my hard earned from me, we'd live in Utopia.
Mind you it might be like freshwater licences, we don't have them in Scotland.
Anway, as an occasional sea angler, they'll have to catch me first.

If they hammer the little guys, its cheap and easy to organise and seen to be doing something. So when EU incompetence causes fish stocks collapse permanently, UK Govt can say it wasn't their fault. Not much help to the fish though.
Its also another way for government machine and its quangos to add to their empires.

Absolutely ridiculous. They can't manage what they have now, fish stocks continue to decline and now we may have to pay for the privilege The impact that rod anglers make on fish stocks is so minute it is not worth considering. The cost of enforcement would eat up the licence fee alone so where is the money coming from to improve coastal stocks. Stop bottom trawling and cut back the rest of the EU fishing fleet in our waters by 100% thats what I say... Steve |
